Well the latest little updates to this are an Aquaero 5 LT to control the pump, as well as the fans based on water temp. Now the fans don't all just whirr to life whenever the cpu warms up for 1 second.
Also replaced the PSU with a new Superflower Leadex II 650w in white. Very nice, and quiet.
Sadly the situation is now only marginally better with the new PSU, as they print the logo on the side upside down for all us bottom of the case builders!
