PROJECT: MAGNUS AQUA DOMUS!

Its already attatched to the outside ;)

I'll get some better pics of it tomorrow, but if you look closely to the side of the 280 in the front you'll see a couple of grommets with fittings poking through ready to link up the 1080.

Fortunately the case comes with many grommets I don't need so I just drilled some 1" holes in the rear panel and put some grommets on it to pass the fittings through.

Phobyas intention was to have the tubing pass through the bottom rear of the case, which IMO would look fugly.

No worries rich, I had completely forgotten about it anyhow :o

I'm expecting to see no higher then 70c on the CPU and 50c on the GPU's with very volt-heavy clocks. Around 1.5v on the CPU and around 1.4v on the GPU's.

Starting to think life is going to be easier dropping back to 7/16 ID and using the compressions I already have.

Yep, just had a long think about it, and I'm not happy with how the large OD tubing looks over barbs, its dwarfing the fittings unfortunately :(

Going to order 20 x Silver EK PSC compressions along with orange 7/16 ID tubing, be with me Tuesday :D

Yep, tight to get on, but do look nice and don't cost the earth, I already have ~10 bitspower 7/16 compressions, but to match them up with another 10 was going to cost near £80 in fittings alone!

I went for barbs to save a little money, backfired a little really as I've wasted money on barbs/tubing thats now of little use to me.

Ah well, stick to what you know, in this case, stick to 7/16 and compressions :p

Edit: Maybe some 3/8 ID tube with 3/8 compressions?? Decisions, like the idea of it being smaller.

Yep, pleased with how they turned out and how good they look fitted :)

Thats another £70 order in to OcUK that should be with me Tuesday, going 7/16. All being well I should be able to start bleeding on Tuesday too.

Going to get a better punt at the cables tomorrow too, as I remembered I didn't remove the non XL-ATX stand offs from the motherboard tray, so I'd best take the board back out and remove them before I try fire the thing up and find out something is shorting :o

While the board is off I'll try get some of the other junk pushed out of sight behind the tray too.

Cheers everyone :)

Re-started the cable management last night, its almost getting to the point where the far right quater is completely free of cables :D

The **** hit the fan at work this morning so I'm on retarded shifts to sort it out so its looking like Saturday is a good aim for getting it completed.

I'll be honest, it can be a pain. I've yet to do a wc build when at some point I've thought "why do I bother". The end results make it worth it though :)

Nope, a few c at best, better off just buying a top end single set of fans like gentle typhoon or the new corsair sp120 fans which are becoming popular in wc circles.

Fan choices are less strict the more rad you have, quite certain I could run my loop fully passive :)

^Not a clue tbh, I haven't used them I'm only going from recommendations from others, I know what you mean though, the fans I'm using in this build unfortunately don't have a fully flat/square face either. Nothing a gasket wouldn't solve though I suppose.

If you're adding lots and lots of rads, it really doesn't matter what fans you choose though ;)

I'd find it really hard to part with ~£15 per fan for GT's though :(

Saturday is when its penned in, I've tripple checked the remaining components and parts to put in, everything looks spot on, I have enough of everything anyhow.

As it stands at the moment, everything is removed from the case apart from the rads and PSU as I still have a little cable management to sort out, offending motherboard standoffs have been removed too.

I hate the tension of a first time turn on, especially as i know everything was working before I started :p

Oh I will :D

I think I've finally figured out the switch wiring too. I'll get the last of the cables in tonight provided I stay awake :o

Early start tomorrow, I want to be drinking beer and playing Borderlands 2 by 6pm :D

More like a long week :o

Its not so much tiredness its more the stiff back and numb hands from wrestling big transformers (not the good autobot kind!) all week, I feel 46 not 26. I'd get some fitness tips from 8 Pack, but I'm quite happy with the drinking/smoking/passing out routine, at least for now :o

Can't WAIT to get this up and running tomorrow, though my track record tells me something WILL be broken :(

Tomorrow, big updates all day long :D

We usually only do as big as 30kv dist boards, anything bigger is crosshired in, deal more with the atex side of electricals. Apprenticeships are the way to go, especially in electricals, get your 17th edition, level 3 nvq and compex and you'll be smashing the £35k/year mark in no time  served my time in the airforce, set me up tbh :)

Just doing a spot of tube planning before I get some kip.

Yep I despise cable management but it must be done!!

I am up, I don't know about bright though, post office, burger king, asda for beer then get at it :D

Glad its working bud, Faulty PSU's and memory are often the hardest things to pinpoint.

Time to get at it

I'll post updates when I take smoke breaks.

Cabling to the most part done, the stragglers I'll get pinned away once the GPU's are in:
