PROJECT: MAGNUS AQUA DOMUS!

Pic of barrel to tide you guys over :D

Excuse the mess, I really should make a trip to the skip :o

Right-o, went to the PO this morning to pick up some parcels, no backplates yet I'm afraid :( I'll give Ricardo an email later today to see if they have been dispatched yet.

Up first the pair of Dimastech 19mm switches, silver with an orange LED ring: (excuse the black speckles on my hands, that's embedded shards of metal :o)

The ICY BOX enclosure, this was a last minute addition, but it makes keeping the drives in one place and tidy that little easier, also means I don't have to much about with sata-power connections at all in this build as its all powered from a single molex:

And finally my second Aquacomputer block finally arrived, I'll get a pic of the other one once I've re-built it, as the seal looked a little dry so I'll be putting a small amount of silicone grease on it before I re-assemble:

Icy box says it's 'Fanless - Silent' but there's a fan at the back of it?

Nice water block too. :)

I noticed this too? Some of the worst advertising I've ever seen :p

Oooh!!

Sand it down and bring it back to life! Wax, varnish or something to keep it as it should be! Will look awesome and make a great table :)

I wish I had time to make such an effort on it, as it stands its worth around £100, all varnished up around 4x that, it could pay for me to tri-fire :(:p

Its that heavy, the white cable its resting on in the above picture, it actually sheared straight through the cable! So I spent my afternoon fitting a new cable on the tumble dryer :(

Saw the barrel and thought "Custom Res" :D

All you would need would be some tan coloured cooling fluid for a "Powered By JD" rig

You could put a sealed res in the barrel but it could be huge which would aid in cooling :)

As much as I'd love to, fairly sure my mrs would harm my gentlemans area if I asked to keep it and use it with my PC, especially as my case is almost as tall as the barrel.

Just put in another £150 order, Mosfet block is finally in stock somewhere in the UK, so should get that on wednesday.

I hope all I have left to order is tubing & fluid, which will get ordered on Wednesday.

Just ordered:

Mosfet block
Radiator screws
Res
Braided Sata cables
Braided Molex cables
Braided 6 pin PCI cables
Fillport
Thread extenders

Anything I might be missing guys??

Edit: Backplates should be here this week too!!

I know I just want it to be as complete as it can be, I'm taking Thursday/Friday off of work I don't want to hit a dead end before I start :p

The only thing I'm really waiting on now is the Backplates, Ricardo said they should have been shipped today but I haven't had a shipping conformation yet to keep tabs on the tracking ID.

OH I realised I have a better camera then my phone too, so hopefully picture quality will be increased (at last!).

****!!! 5mm LEDS!!

I'll see what OcUK have in this department, otherwise I'll be off to an electrical suppliers for some wire and a bag of LED's.

SLIGHT change of radiator plan too...I've just snagged a 280mm radiator on the MM, so that can go in the front.

So 360+360+1080+280, I'm going to get all of the exact measurements and have a little maths competition in the WC forum for some free games I think ;)

What pump is running those rads?

I have a spare RX360 and was thinking of adding it to my loop. I currently use a 280 extreme rad and the phobya 1080 with a D5. You think a D5 would cope?
