PROJECT: MAGNUS AQUA DOMUS!

I did/do so I can see what I like better, 120Hz or 1440 :)

Woukd have been rude to not even try 1440 @ £200.

Aww :( ah well I'll have to shell out new then!!

1440 is out of the window, back on with the loop planning....

Coverage panel I'm now considering ordering a mesh panel? Is it going to look gash? Plan to order what ever I choose for the panel this weekend so I can get cracking :D

For the price, you won't get better, I have 6 of them, full 12v they are pretty loud but they shift LOTS of air, certainly more then my vipers were pushing through, stick them on a controller at ~1300rpm you will hardly hear them :)

Just waiting to find out if Pulse modders mesh is rigid or not, if its really flexible its a no-go.

Second D5 arrived today too :D

Edit: Minor order to get things moving, including the official SLI/CF plate for my blocks so I can remove the cable ties that are preventing the bottom of my variable connector leaking, new clear tubing to replace the orange stuff, couple of extra compressions for just incase as I have a leak coming from under one on my 360 rad and 3 litres of sunset yellow mayhems pastel

Aqua Computer TwinConnect 5-Slot 1 £13.32
Mayhems Pastel - Sunset Yellow Coolant 1L ** NEW COLOUR FOR 2012 ** 3 £37.47
EK PSC Compression Fitting 7/16 [16/11mm] - G1/4 - Nickel 2 £5.48
XSPC 7/16" ID [16/11mm] High Flex Hose - Clear [1m Length] 3 £7.47

I'm just waiting to hear back from a guy about how ridgid the modders mesh is, then I can get that ordered along side a 360 rad stand and start cutting the midplate up :o

So true, thinking about some new memory with the money I would have spent on the new monitor.

The Samsung stuff isn't playing nicely with my board at all, 11-15-15-40-2T @ 2133 is pathetic to say the least, have my eye on a tridentx kit at 10-12-12-31-1T @ 2400mhz ;)

Yeah, this green stuff just doesn't want to play nice at any speed, it likes to sit at 11-11-11 @ 1600mhz then wants a jump to 11-14-14 for 1866mhz! 11-12-12 isn't too bad for 2333mhz.

The Avexir kits are nice - and would fit my colour scheme, though its hard to turn down 16GB of 2400mhz CL10 TridentX. I'll stick the sammy greens up on the MM, should get the £65 I paid for them back quite easily as they're up near £130 now!!

Need to order a rad stand (ironic given the amount of radiator positions this case has!) and mesh, I'll get some cutting tools home with me to mod the midplate this week too :D

Very tempting, though £300 on memory is likely to end in my mrs breaking my fingers :p

Those results are damn impressive for x58!!

I'm weighing it up now between 16GB CL9 2133mhz teamgroup or 16GB CL10 2400mhz TridentX, both are the same price, decisions decisions :p

Minor update!

Not looking all that good for rebuild this weekend, still having some issues sorting out the cover panel :(

Though new memory and some new cables are inbound, I thought to my self "black cables with a yellow/gold tint would look nice" and while looking for cable braiding parts I found bitfenix make the exact cables I wanted.... :D

So just waiting on cables, rad stand and some panel or other ;)

I have two kits that will be with me this coming week:

4x2GB G.Skill RipjawsX 2133mhz CL9
&
4x2GB Kingston HyperX 2400mhz CL11

I'll probably end up staying with the G.skill stuff - provided it plays ball with my motherboard, the Kingston stuff I know works but is generally lower quality memory that won't tune as well as the G.Skill kit :)

Should get my last order in this week with an aim for rebuild next weekend.

Its just to make life easier for hiding cables more then anything, means I have somewhere to hide all the excess junk thats currently tucked away behind the pump :D

I'm also going to move the top 360 along a place too so it sits further back, should make tube routing around the CPU a little easier.

If I could choose again (and had the funds!) I would probably stump up for the XSPC H2+, just something about that case that keeps pulling me back for a look :D

Remember I paid less then the price of a Switch 810 for this case too ;)

The case is 'OK'. Its solid enough anyhow, just wish Phobya had thought out the cable management a little better. Also the way the rear panel and motherboard tray are support is a pain, 3 bolts go through the motherboard tray and screw into the side panel to support it, so if I want to take the rear panel off, I have to go inside, take 3 screws out, then take another 12 screws off the outside before it comes out. Its also missing 560 support, but makes up for it with 400 (2x200) support.

If I were to start this again today, the first thing I'd do is take an angle grinder to certain parts of the case before building.

Correct :D

Though it can stay as is (once complete) until IB-E when it will be getting some 4930 or 4960 love

All the case needs for big out of the box improvements is a plate to cover the gaping hole and a slot in the midplate to feed cables through. If they sorted this out it would be a brilliant case for the price.

Haha yeah, though my build isn't quite on the performance levels of scotty and kaaps multi titan hex core builds :D

It is nice to see so many different case builds lately though.

Righty, two sheets of 500x500 3mm thick gloss black acrylic ordered, I only need one, but they were only £10 each, so if I screw one up I have a spare!!

Also exploring putting some mechanical gauges in, one for pressure and maybe one for temp. The pressure gauge will be something like 0-20psi so the needle actually moves as all I have at the moment are 0-160psi. Perhaps even consider panel mounting them if its not too much hassle.

A sneak peak, some better pics coming later this evening:

The quality on these is absolutely brilliant, the para cord gives a strong feel, yet still flexible with a soft fabric feel.

Alchemy extensions are very good, but they do feel quite cheap next to these :D

Cheers everyone :)

It's due with me tomorrow, using some kingston 2400mhz cl11 stuff atm running at xmp with much lower sa/vtt voltages then the Samsung stuff required for 1866mhz!! Though it won't tune well at all. The g.skill kit should give me something around 2400 cl10.

Acrylic sheets are due today too so I'll get measuring and cutting tomorrow :D

Acrylic sheets are here!! I'll take them into work tomorrow to shave 200mm from one side and make some L-Brackets while I'm at it to support the other side.

I do need to find some drawings showing HPTX stand-off spacing so I can get those hole drilled too. Edit: SORTED

Going to be a looooong weekend I just know it.
