Get a deflector

Spoiler OOOOFFFFF!! But those wheels need to be CW :)

My rims were refurbed last year, but alas not in CW white either. Although it isn't far off.

Yup the steering wheel is fugly as hell. Not too bothered though it does its job :D

Track time will be on the cards but only once I'm happy she can handle it. Plus I'm around 15mins from the small village of thurleigh ;)

Tom @ TGM seemed a little busy to talk today, but will harrass him more this week for advice and getting her booked in.

The number plate doesn't end is SVK does it? ;)

I had the syncro problem in mine, but only on fast upshifts between 2 and 3. I also had a number of small rust patches and 3 totally shot engine mounts @ 55k.

Great car though - had one of my most memorable drives back from Reading to the West Midlands at 11pm on a weeknight. All A/B roads, All VTEC.

weren't all the uk ones the same spec pretty much (bar the few options)? Or did they have the 96/98 spec differences as the jdm models?

Same spec pretty much, I'd just guessed 98 because they changed the steering wheel from that ugly one in 99 :D

a friend of mine had one a while back. ended up getting banned for a year.

he deathed that car so hard and was very brutal with the gearchanges. i didnt hear that crunch once.

he eventually killed the input shaft bearing but he had no mechanical sympathy

Nope, not that plate.

Amsoil MTF in a few days, so hopefully get it in before my drive on Saturday and see if that fixes up the problem.

Really have fallen in love, but will definately get a DA polisher ordered when next months pay comes in, as the current SRP and Collonite is just there to protect her through this wet spell.

Too late :p

Fitted my first performance mod today but don't have any pictures...........

x2 Password JDM reservoir socks. I'm sure the car feels less notchy and is more free revving now :D

That's one avenue I'm glad I haven't gone down, engine bay dress up is a huge waste of money imo!

Indeed it is, but these were a great price and I was getting a magnetic sump plug from the seller at the same time. PLus finding £40 in my paypal account meant it was essentially free, with the remainder of the funds going towards a tegiwa brake cylinder brace.

Costing up all the bushings atm and trying to decide if it is worth getting the coilovers done at the same time with new tires on and full alignment to finish off.

Got my oils though, just need to pickup a new crush washer for the gearbox plugs before I change the oil on sat and see what it does to my ickle crunch.

I hate you OP and Fonzee.

I want :(

If you contribute to 1/2 the costs of getting it back to complete perfection/better than perfection, I'l give you a passenger ride every week and a hug!

Have not even driven it since the weekend, far too busy checking it over and claying the damn crap out of the clearcoat. Will save the real claying for the spring/summer as to remove every tar spot will probably take 20-30mins a panel and there really are more important things to do :(

just re-use the old one mate. they always claim in manuals to replace these etc, but in reality... its just not needed.

worthy of getting a magnetic plug on the gearbox once you've sorted the issues too. engine plug isn't really required.

I want :(

for the 50th time, do it :p

sell me your pug :)

Did a few things this weekend, but didn't have the stamina or effort to do the engine cleaning and spraying I wanted to do on Saturday as I spent 11pm until god knows what hour securing my Grandmas house and chatting with the police RE the ****ing scum or broke into her house. All good though and she was fine :)

Enough excuses, so here is my first little mod (well internal). Swapped in my nicer Pioneer HU, replacing the crap kenwood that came with the car. But as DC2 owners will know, the symphony grinding, dunk dunks, and madness of the constantly crazy aerial does get annoying (when switching between aux/cd/tuner). So I installed a rocker switch to control it and also put in a connecotr for my ipod.

Will crack on with a few other things and people can see the fruits of my labour at the meet on the 27th. But the amount of labour time will vary wildely on work over the coming few weeks.

The engine bay.

The saturday night chill with some San Miguel and lots of bits.

All hacked up and wired up.

Super 'show winning' audio install completed (needs a damn fine clean though) ;)

80's aerial = awesome :), mine doesn't go up/down when switching modes, only comes up when I turn the unit on.

You got a link to that switch installation, I wouldn't mind having control over it, would be handy when not listening to the radio

Took me a moment to realise what the switch install was for, but now you've inspired me to do it. It annoys the hell out of me, the fact that my Honda's electric aerial raises whenever the stereo is on yet I never listen to the radio. Thanks :D

Back cover of this months edition of Evo has an article on the 'teg DC2.

Never before realised how much extra development went into the B18C5
