Looking good mate, but please...kill that blue screen with fire!!!
:D

Haha, thats not staying but it came with the plastics :p

The Spondon swinger was nice as it blended in quite well, I like the K4 one though and all this power will be no use if it just pops wheelies when you open it up, fun maybe but not much use if/when it visits a drag strip!

Well you never know, if you find yourself with a spare rear wheel...

Got the headers finished ready to be welded up, also altered the wastegate so its closer and in line with the frame, and the wastegate pipe, taken it to the back of the engine as ive added more plastic!

Also started to cut the lower plastics, I was going to re-build them over the pipe but I think it'll look fine as it is, a bit more trimming to do yet but its getting there. Also done the other side but my phone died. Really must take the camera up there to get some nicer pics.

Don't ever go out in jeans, because that exhaust looks painful!

Haha, its got to have the last elbow cut in once its welded, the exhaust out the turbo will go straight down and exit in front of the side stand somewhere.

Still be toastie in jeans! :p

Danm54 where did you get the header pipes or kit form m8 ?

The pipes on there now that I've altered came 2nd hand off a drag bike. All the fittings and pipe I've used to alter them and make the up pipe came from warp speed racing.

Been playing with the big stuff!

Got the exhaust off the turbo tacked up, just waiting on the turbo flange now.

It sits quite tight so clears my leg just fine, will put a heat shield over it at some point though.

I cannot wait for the time to come when you post a vid of this thing in a finished state. :)

I keep thinking its getting closer but its still a while off yet. :p

Welding took nearly 2 weeks as they're mega busy but its all back now and put back together.

Subby mounts welded on, these buggers aren't moving!!

Headers all welded up nice

2011-11-03173300.jpg

And the rest of the bits

2011-11-04122406.jpg

So now the list is;

Rear plastics to trim to fit the frame
Rad to find/sort out and hoses to run
Oil cooler to mount and the lines to run
Find/make a sprocket cover and get hold of a slave cylinder. (These will be the same as the RF9 maybe?)
Sort out gear linkage
Look into a different shock linkage as I think the angle my dog bones are at could be a pain down the line
Carb to mount
Fuel pump to buy and mount
Wiring loom to make Rear light to find, CBR subby but not sure on the year!

Think that should keep me busy for a while!!
:D

Oh, 6 pots arrived last week too!!

These are awesome on the GSXR and I found these fairly cheap.

Looking fine!!!. Are you doing all your own welding?. Looks sharp, if so. :)

No I took it down the local fabricators, only got a mig here which tacks stainless neat enough but cant get a neat weld with it. Im fine with steel but stainless is a bitch to work with.

And ally obvoiusly needs a pro!

Wish I could though, on the lookout for a 3 phase tig so I can start playing with it.
