4.2 is looking good.

your chip isnt the greatest 920 ever, it needs a few more vlts to get it to 4.2ghz

but its been going all day.

will save the profile now and then im moving onto the graphics card. :D

sweet, tbh i really didnt think it would go to 4.2 so thats amazing news :)
best of luck with the graphics ;)

... just and insight of whats it like here, it feels like when i was waiting for my first child to be delivered.
..... perhaps i need to get out more :D

the temps are a little high. but we are running the cpu at 4.2 and the gpu is clocked from 850mhz to 965mhz

both running at 100% load this has heated things up dramatically

[bear in mind we have 30 other computers in the room all running at 100% load] so its hot anyway

will grab a screenshot in a second. just got to make sure that furmark is running well and that the graphics overclock is fully stable :)

Maybe offer him a better cherry chip rich :) I am sorry to hear it mate, but at the end of the day he did 4.2 for you. Better than nothing.

we dont have 920 cpus anymore bulldog

the expression is "cherry picked" ;)

the cpu is doing the clock fine. the gpu is only tweaked a little but its a nice improvement over stock. with it being on the same loop it is wisest to push the cpu over the gpu.
the 965mhz on the gpu failed unfortunatly so im taking it down to a more conservative clock.

realistically you will never run them both at 100% flat out anyway

shes back :)

although she was a "little hot" when i picked her up.
she had a "fever" overnight , induced of course :D

happy to report shes back at home beavering away quite happily at 4.2ghz ;)

thank you dr. rjkoneill :)

What was the temperature under load at 4.2Ghz mate ? Glad to hear you got it back.

twas quite toasty apparently, however it was in a room with 30 others sweating it out too ;)

this was the docs diagnosis.
he left it on my desktop

Thats fine mate, would imagine the ambients in there added on a fair amount to the temps!

Great stuff

pretty too high for custom water to be honest! mine is 4.2ghz at 78C max with 1.248vcore under load for 24 hours.

as paulyD says , its gotta be ever so slightly warmer than the average room surrounded by all those other sweaty rigs, so id imagine i would be able to take that down by a few degrees here.
admittedly though, Rich has already explained to me that its not the best D0 on the planet and needed more volts than the norm.

hopefully Rich may give you a breakdown of how it all went , all i know is , he was determined to get it at 4.2 stable and safe, and thats what i got :)

i cant be more happy!
