Something like that, actually I'm on a drive to try and drop my home power usage down from over 3.4KW :eek:
 
is this to replace the amd or the titans running? :D ideal as team gamegeak are coming up behind with 6.5million ppd :o

so what parts are you using for this build then or is it a surprise? all I know is its intel based. same or better than your current chips or maybe even slightly under your current chips?? either way :eek::eek:
 
I think I've finally got my electric usage under control......

Bit then again I've got two GTX780's sidelined at the mo.....

Without them my electric is currently running around £300 pcm.

F@H ppd has dropped to just over 2 million but the Titans have made an entry into Milkyway and some well overdue Gaming (as I've just upgraded to three 27" moitors for some multiscreen gaming goodness)

Same as Event Horizon, exactly the same actually.

Will be running it nekked on air as well. :eek:

The CPU's arrived this morning, so I have everything ready to crack on. Now I just have to be strong and once its up and running turn off the Titans :eek:

Me too mate, actually, I'm rationalising my Bitcoin addiction as well :eek: so that should balance it out. The wifes started to notice the £300+ pcm Direct Debit increases from the leccy company. I hope to get down to around £200 pcm for folding and supplement that with my BTC income.
 
I've been wondering why my milkway progress had been dropping......then I realised (last night at work) that i'd recently installed the new driver and had not redone the double precision........ D'oh!!!

So, changed it over this morning - hopefully my ppd should improve again.

I've also, switched the Intel 4p's to not one (until I get home from work tomorrow) - this will allow me to install some better fans and install the new memory (unfortunatly, I've only got 8 sticks as the rest have not yet been delivered - ordered 24/07/13 eta anytime after 08/08/13 - pity OcUK does'nt stock em). I also need to reorganise the room as I've created a bit of a heat trap with the three 4p rigs and two 3770k's......

Which reminds me - somehow (not sure how) I've managed to blow up a H100 on one of the rigs so I had to get a replacement. Opted for the reconditioned H60 and I must say it looks brand new (apart from the refurbished sticker on the box) - got some nice Scythe 5400rpm fans to install too.

So, I've got a busy day tomorrow.....

Change the fans in all three 4p rigs
Change a Noctua D14 for a H60 on a 3770k
Install the D14 on the 2600k and pop in the two GTX780's

Then a weeks holiday.......Yippe ki-yay moth..... ;)
 
any pictures biffa, im bored and need something interesting to read / look at. your builds / blogs fit the bill nicely :D

p.s loudbob I noticed your dropbox has been at 0ppd for over 24 hours now :eek: have you run into fan problems
 
Still waiting for the coolers oz. Gone for noctuas this time.

loudbob how do the Titans do in milkyway?
 
No issues with the fans - just got a little side tracked with other things (my daughter does keep me busy).

Also, swapped the memory back into the one Intel 4P rig and installed the 8 sticks of new memory in the second. New fans are in and I re-organised the rigs to disperse the heat a little better too.

Not had chance to install the new cooler on the 3770K so that and the two 780's are still not on (as well as a 2600K) - hopefully I should have these sorted by end of week.

As for the Titans and Milkway - settled on running 10 wu's per GPU otherwise they just don't max out. Completing each in 4 mins so I reckon if left alone they could average around 360k ppd each. When I get chance I'll swap the Titans with the 780's as this won't make much difference to gaming but it'll let the Titans work without interruption - again, hopefully do this some time this week.
 
LOL its the same spec as EventHorizon the only difference is Noctua HSF instead of Supermicro.
 
:D I know its been a while but I have slowly started to crunch again. Got 2 780's ready to report for full time active duty over the weekend when I watercool my set up.
Am hoping it will net me 60,000 ppd when it matures, oh and there's the small matter of creeping up slowly on unsuspecting seti members to perform a long overdue ....

Parp!!!!!
