Prototype or InFamous

Annoyingly similar. I will only be able to justify buying one. Videos of Prototype look better with a lot more powers than inFamous which is more Electricity based.

Is their a Prototype Demo due? inFamous is out next week and Prototype the week after?

That would really help a demo for each game, but im really leaning towards prototype.

inFamous had a demo released this week on PSN. Might be down to which game is "bigger" for me. I am sure inFamous is supposed to have a 15-20 hour main mission kind of thing. Need to find out about Prototype. As these are GTA type games the length will be important for me.

From what ive heard/read from people who have played both that infamous is a better game, but both are different enough. A bit like GTA4 and Saints row 2 same type of game but different enough to warrant owning both. Prototype is more like the old hulk game, no suprise as its from the same devs concentrating mostly on melee attacks. For me im buying Infamous as it has got the uncharted 2 beta and renting prototype may even buy if i enjoy it.
 
Prototype for me, been looknig forward to it for so long now!

Edit: Though I've yet to try the Infamous demo so I may end up getting both :p

Played the Infamous demo last night, got past the boring train bit, then killed all the guys on roof tops and took out the tar machine still bored, then had to save the package - mid way turned it off waiting for demo of Prototype now.

just my 2cents
 
I think it'll end up being that Infamous is the more polished game but prototype is just more fun. Kinda like everyones thoughts on GTA4/Saints Row 2.

This is exactly what I did, I think when there is a bit more to do and the full game is more open it'll be more fun.

Hoping that Prototype is good.
 
Prototype just looks ridiculously awesome though. Infamous just looks stupid. Look at me zapping electricity weakly from my arm.
 
all vids ive seen of both - graphics are better in Infamous but Prototype looks more fun with more sheer lethal destrucability. (elbow drop on a tank *** hehee) Will get both :D
 
Hmm prototype looks a bit better (more abilities) but I can imagine it being too easy or repetitive (like crackdown, except no agility orbs :(), I'll wait for reviews before getting either, does prototype have co-op? You're going to be doing a lot of assasinations agents...
 
InFamous demo is fantastic, will defiantly be getting it. Not sure about Prototype, it looks a silly mix of InFamous, Wolverine and Resident Evil, will wait for demo.
