Prototype

Why ever not?. I have played this on both the 360 and the PC and I must say the keyboard and mouse input method walks all over the 360 controller.

this is the case with 99% of games on the pc...i know this as i have a ps3 and i have not turned my ps3 on since september 2008(after completing mgs4)...i will never buy another console again..they get worse as time goes on

I wish it ran nicely on mine. Me and a lot of people are waiting on the forums for an official response, as some people get it stuck on the loading screen, others get serious crashes or errors as soon as the game begins, and the sound is also quite low.

I tried every helpful hint to get this game to work, but no joy, always the BSOD after less than a minute of play!

Bought this last night really enjoying it and its running better than i thought even when getting into a fight with about 30 people in a small area

After initially thinking this was pap I'm now pretty impressed. Voice acting is awful but the gameplay is fun and frantic...Just wish I'd stuck it on hard mode now :)

no no no! put burneze or something on them! if they're chavs they're most likely the type that puts their hands in their trouser in public. :D

Im really enjoying this game, its pretty different to anything else around at the moment. Havent had any issues with the game its running really smoothly, no crashes or sound issues either :D

I bought this yesterday and was quite impressed.

Given I can't play GTA4 because I don't have a Quad and a graphics card newer than a year, I was pleased this ran well!

I ran it in all max settings for the max res my monitor supports which is pretty much my LFD settings and it works great! I'd say at least 30-40fps constantly, which is enough!

The game itself is great fun. Lacking if being compared to GTA4, but the differences (Parkour, Movement across map) is truely amazing and good fun. I'm using K&M and it's fine for controls, I'm used to playing that way as a through-and-through PC gamer so no issues there.

Played a few missions so far and pretty much upgraded all my movement abilities. You get to play the fully powered up guy and then the story regresses to the start and you had less power. First thing I noticed was "why can't I move like a legend?" - then I realised I had to upgrade and you had to get around a lot...so it seemed natural to do movement first. The guy kicks enough backside to not worry about "Combat" upgrades for a few missions at least :D

In general, good game, it's something other than FPS that I will find myself going back to for a random go on. I will complete it but by playing it slowly, maybe an hour at a time.

Better than Wolverine, imo.

I have managed to work out as to why the Prototype game was not working properly. It was because my D0 i7 920 was overclocked too high. The 4.0 setting worked when I 1st bought it, but for the moment its been set to 3.2 because of a possible problem with the CPU. It now works fine so it was not the game afterall, which is surprising, but im glad that it now works fine! :D

The game looks 2x worse than GTA4 whilst running 3x worse.

I did not think it would be possible but oh man it is.

The action is nice but the performance and graphics even on max is terrible. The above screen is 1920x1200 with vsync off and 2xFSAA for example.

The graphics aren't amazing but they're not so awful as to be a huge problem.

Can't say I've had your performance issues. 4870 1GB and a dual core 3.2 and it's running very nicely at 1920x1200

@ Last Kronin

Press esc, go to upgrades and click on any upgrade for instructions how to use.

For all devastators you need to be in Critical Mass (blue bar attached to the end of your health) and press the key combi.

I think the standard one is hold [E] and hold RIGHT MOUSE :)
