wikipedia said:Resistance: Fall of Man is a science fiction first-person shooter video game, exclusive to the Playstation 3, developed by Insomniac Games. The game follows in the footsteps of Sgt. Nathan Hale as he and the human resistance forces attempt to drive a mysterious alien invasion out of Britain.

My 'stupid' comment was the fact they have done nothing about the 'lets do everything with the 'A' button' All they have to do is have two buttons pressed together to take cover, 'A' and another, hardly takes a scientist to work that one out but Epic seem to have totally missed that one, especially when the problem is so evident and the cure so easy.NokkonWud said:As I mentioned, online is always flawed on the Xbox360 due to P2P online systems. I wouldn't call Epic 'stupid' though, especially as they are probably the most influential company in video games.
I cut becuase i was referring exactly to that part, why would i refer to a quote that i couldn't debate? I didn't see you mention anywhere that GOW was also lacking in imagination or originality, unless i missed that part.Nice cut to my post. I said Resistance lacked any form of originality or imagination. Gears of War clearly did.
Well i don't read your blog, i comment on what i see here, what i see here is you bumming PS3 games and sticking up for 360 games.I've said in several posts that I don't like Forza 2 as well. There is a review on my blog also. PGR3, Need for Speed: Most Wanted and Burnout all offer local multiplayer in some form or variation and all were relatively early releases for the console, 2 of which were launch day titles.
Blinkered like me i suppose? I do check your posts as you may have noticed, i don't see hardly any 360 bashing, can't recall when i last did actually. Only thing that seems to come from you is everything about PS3 sucks. As usual.... yeah. I never criticise Xbox360 or Wii games... You wanna go checking posts my friend, I'm extremely honest. Not blinkered like some people.

Because most people don't have a problem with the cover system? I for one never?JBeck said:My 'stupid' comment was the fact they have done nothing about the 'lets do everything with the 'A' button' All they have to do is have two buttons pressed together to take cover, 'A' and another, hardly takes a scientist to work that one out but Epic seem to have totally missed that one, especially when the problem is so evident and the cure so easy.
Maybe I am bias towards GoW, as an artist that's the i-ching, that's what every artist aspires to at the moment.JBeck said:I cut becuase i was referring exactly to that part, why would i refer to a quote that i couldn't debate? You should, I try to make it an interesting readJBeck said:Well i don't read your blog, i comment on what i see here, what i see here is you bumming PS3 games and sticking up for 360 games.
I've just 'bashed' the Xbox360 in my last 2 responses to you, if you choose not to accept it, that's fine. At the moment there are a lot of better games on the Xbox360 than the Playstation3, therefore when I comment on those I generally say positive things.JBeck said:Blinkered like me i suppose? NokkonWud said:You continually look over the positive things I say about the PS3 (notably that the console itself is better, only let down by a lesser OS) and quote only the bad. Don't be simple... You could use any button there, if it's used together with another button then it's original use isn't affected, duhShamikebab said:I've never had this problem while playing GoW, the cover system is superb. What other button do you suggest by the way? isn't every other button already being used? or should they do a limited edition GoW controller with an extra button just for JBeck?![]()

As above, so youve never stcuk to a wall and got killed while trying to sprint or roll away? You lie!NokkonWud said:Because most people don't have a problem with the cover system? I for one never?
Looks nice, plays like plop.Maybe I am bias towards GoW, as an artist that's the i-ching, that's what every artist aspires to at the moment.
I might, but for your sake i hope you don't have a comments section as i'll be whinging there too!You should, I try to make it an interesting read![]()
Nothing odd about it, I see you trashing the PS3 ten times a day, whereas you put in the odd negative 360 comment. Actually your 'negative' comments on anything 360 is hard to notice as they are never overly harsh and in all honesty hard to spot.I've just 'bashed' the Xbox360 in my last 2 responses to you, if you choose not to accept it, that's fine. I have stated that The Darkness is a great games and the many things I do like about it, however I've also mentioned that the PS3 version of The Darkness to be worse than the Xbox360 version (which is true), never have I mentioned that the PS3 version of The Darkness is a bad game though. It's the same case for many games, such as Oblivion, another great game on the Playstation 3, another statement I have made several times.
You continually look over the positive things I say about the PS3 (notably that the console itself is better, only let down by a lesser OS) and quote only the bad. Likewise you don't seem to accept the negatives I say about the Xbox360 and its games and only the positives. It's quite odd.

having to press two buttons to get into cover would be annoying as you do it so often, plus most of the time your rolling or running into cover so you dont need another button.
Nah just tap 'A' and 'B' with your thumb in between the two buttons, of course if you have stick insect thumbs you may have a problem. Sticking to stuff when you're trying to run away from a hungry pack is the most annoying thing about the game.Shamikebab said:i dont, maybe im not cack handed?![]()

Yep the Vegas cover was much better.JUMPURS said:I find it annoying having to press one button to go to cover and another to exit cover.
They could have got away with using the left trigger as a hold down for cover like Vegas (I love the cover system in vegas) and use a click on one of the sticks as the zoom in botton (off the top of my head i don't think both of them are used) Or isn't there a free button on the D Pad?
Then you go to sprint away and you stick to something else, you press 'A' to get off and stick to the wall on the other side... lovely jubbly.JUMPURS said:I can use it personally, i just thought it was very clunky, especially compared to how fluid Vegas' is.
My biggest grip was to climb over an obsitical he had to shoulder charge it, stick to it, then press the button again to get over it, by which point my butt is pwnd by some alien thingy
