PS3 or Wii?

Xbox360 is graphically more powerful than the PS3 (technically).
So no, it's not long in the tooth, the PS3 and Xbox360 are pretty much identical, except the Xbox360 offers Xbox Live, more Games and is cheaper.
 
I'd rather have a PS3 than a Wii personally. I've got a Xbox 360 and a Wii, and the Xbox 360 gets used 95% of the time.
 
Whilst I love playing on the Wii with the kids (Even made my own Sim in MySims) - I wouldn't personally get one over my PS3. And as above don't rule out the 360, nothing comes close to it for the sheer amount of quality games, though the PS3 isn't as far behind as it once was.

All 3 are great and in an ideal world you want to try to get all 3 if its affordable for you.
 
Depends what games you want to play. If you can, get the Ps3 now then the Wii when you can afford that too. I'm lucky to have all three as are a few on here. If I had to just have one it'd be the 360 though.

Up to you mate, look at which games you like best and get the appropiate console, judging by this years exclusives i know which one id get! ;)

So, what should i go for, the wii with its endless fun and possibilities ar the ps3 with its blu-ray and HD gaming and awesome graphics, i really don't know which direction to go now :(

PS3, had all 3 and the PS3 is the better console with a brighter future.

360 is great for multiplayer, but as I have young children most of the great/good games weren't suitable for them.

Wii again good for what it does but unless you have friends around frequently or a family interested in it, it got boring very fast.

PS3 is very good all round, more suitable games for the family, and fairly decent online + Blu-ray movies is an added bonus :)

BTW: GT5: Prologue plays as good as it looks :D

come on, the 360 is the better console right now. its they console developers are getting the most from. whatever potential the ps3 has to be a better console is null and void untill it actually starts being better.

The game you saw running is most probably GT HD i would think as most places have this as a rolling demo for the PS3, GT5 looks better, a lot better IMO, check out the vids or even look at the GT5P thread on here. With regards to the Wii/PS3 decision there both very good consoles (as is the 360) , it all comes down to you as a gamer and what games you like to play as i always say have a look whats out on each console and whats out in the future and make your choice based on that. The Wii is possibly more fun in a party type situation, but games such Buzz, Singstar, Rockband and GH3 (also on Wii) make the PS3 also a great "party" console. Even the PSN bowling game using the Sixaxis is pretty good and easy to pick up for a Wiibowling type thing.

In a way you are telling the truth but its an empty truth designed to mislead people!!

I hope you werent comparing like for like ie GPU to GPU Nokkon. And using that as the basis for your argument that the 360 is better graphically than the ps3.

You honestly should know better. Indeed i thought you did? I shall have to revise my opinion about your 'knowledge' of the ps3 cell architecture...
