Tax Evader said:It wasn't the price tag which put me off, it was the poor game choice for my tastes. I have the XBOX360, AND (and this is a major factor for me) GTA is coming to that platform next, so I have no reason to purchase PS3. There aren't many games I like... GTA, Crackdown, PGR2/3 .. but mostly GTA. If the next GTA was coming to PS3 first then I'd have got one, as it isn't then I won't. I appreciate not everyone is as narrow minded as that
The only reason I purchased a PS2 (late in it's life) was to play GTA:VC

ElRazur said:Im saying it is different and better in the sense that many things can happen on the screen without slow downs or lagg when compared together. On the ps3 you can have (the last count i did on the Rfom) about 23 ai on the screen all shooting at you, your men, laying mines, coming for you etc....I dont remember gow been able to do that from what i have seen.
Robert said:Stop talking out of your arse. You are on about the game engine, not the console.

Robert said:Erm, maybe more efficient - however have you played GoW? I've had a lot of enemies attacking me. Care to compare? You rave on about something which is quite frankly BS. How good is the AI in RTFOM? Does it look comparable to GoW as from what I've heard it doesn't...
Oh if you want impressive play kameo![]()

Robert said:Well I'd believe what I've read over what you say any day - as I'm actually interested in a PS3 anyway, hence I'm unbiased. Regardless of whether GoW is a rip of killswitch - we are on about the engine not game play.

So... because you personally have had no issues that means no one will ever have a problem...ElRazur said:Yeap...Had mine since January and it aint missed any beat.![]()

1) The Xbox 360 was here 1st, its as powerful as the PS3 overall, its way cheaper, does what it says it will well. (£330 gets me a premium 3 games and extra wireless controller)
2) The PS3 offers BR, a bigger hole in your wallet.
3) There are only a handful of exclusives now to the PS3 or 360 and most of the classic must have games are or will be on both platforms.
4) Demand is pretty obvious (not that high), pre-orders are easily available on the highstreet everywhere, places are offering discounts already and global sales are hardly outstanding compared to the Wii or 360 over Q1 07 + Q4 06.
Please don't give me the "I don't want a Blu-Ray player" or "I don't need a wifi connection cos 20metres of cat5 is good enuff" etc etc.
REDD555 said:Demand is huge, due partly to the delay and Sony actually getting enough consoles to meet the demand. Just because it hasn't sold out, doesn't mean there's no demand, it means the demand is being met.![]()
I went to about 5 shops on Sunday and, even though they are still taking launch day pre-orders, they have sold a substantial amount. Over 200 in just one tiny store for instance.
That's not great when it's one of the main stores in the UK. Great games create demand. It's no surprise that the Wii is a hot potato at the moment when you consider there was a Zelda game available from launch. Had there been a Final Fantasy, MGS or GT game to accompany the PS3 then you wouldn't be able to get hold of one outside of the first 30 minutes of the consoles being available for launch. REDD555 said:Sorry. If it's going down this road again I can't agree.
360 is MORE EXPENSIVE like for like...fact. No matter how many times you don't want to go there. Please don't give me the "I don't want a Blu-Ray player" or "I don't need a wifi connection cos 20metres of cat5 is good enuff" etc etc.
