PS4 and Xbox Rumours

Surely it's only special to have 2 virtually identical products, a) and b):

a) Just plays games

b) Plays the same games AND offers additional features.

And you pick a)

I want my console of choice to play games. That's it. I have no need for those additional features. I have no interest in looking a muppet in front of my tv. I have no interest in talking to my console. If that sort of thing floats your boat, fair enough. Your choice, your money.

And both Xbox and PS4 will do just that, if that is what you want. Why is that hard to understand?

Can't see the problem personally. They've brought the reveal forward by two weeks, showing off the new console and it's multimedia features in order to allow E3 to focus on games. Surely in doing this they are actually giving the games more prominence? The console bit is out of the way now, and short of exploring the operating system and supporting services further, chances are there isn't much more to see. E3 will be about games, games, games - it won't be overshadowed by talk of the new console. 15 exclusives in the first year, 8 of them new franchises = no shortage of stuff to see.

Keep in mind it was platform reveal, the games come at E3... If it matches PS4 for gameplay (and let's face it, it's pretty unlikely they would release something that's not pretty similar in terms of gaming capabilities) and adds all the extras they showed today then I'm sold.

I think you need to see where that line of conversation came from :p

The arguement was exactly what you're saying, and his arguement was backing that up.

The guy who we were talking to wasnt able to see why you would buy a PS3 for crying out loud!

Hilarious that both of you can't actually refute that.

I want a games console to play games  i already have things that do the rest, and as for the rubbish sports nonsense of fantasy leagues which is something ive never done, nor will, its another thing i wouldnt miss

It's ok though, you love M$ we all get it.

"The most popular mode in the world's most popular sports game, Ultimate Team in FIFA, is exclusive to Xbox One."

It was something down those lines. So yeah, no Ultimate Team on other platforms this year.

BS its confirmed (this comment is aimed at computerandvideogames)

Its still a news article from a 3rd party website quoting an un-named exec. If this is cut and dry and done why is that MS Exec not willing to give his name ?

This isn't over yet as they will no doubt be waiting to see what Sony do. Its gonna ruin them if they charge for 2nd hand games and sony don't.

Its just like the always on stuff. Massive Massive fuss over this, and apparently over the fuss the plans to require it have been quietly dropped. Charging for 2nd hand games will go the same way if Sony announce they won't charge for them on record in full view of everybody at E3.

Yes thats what it is entirely, youve got me there. I have been outwitted by your logic

Shouldnt someone go to the service desk and announce theres a lost kid in here?

ps3ud0

You know what sold a lot of PS3's - Bluray.

What unique selling points does the PS4 have.... a handful of exclusive games.

What unique selling points does the Xbox One have... Exclusive games, Kinect, Tv integration.

Arguably silly from EA there then. I'm guessing UT made them at least half as much on PS3 as it did it on Xbox. Few million I'd estimate. But guess MS have paid them a fair amount for the exclusive rights.

And Pioneer would you fettle down. There hasn't even been a PS4 reveal yet so how on earth can you comment on what it has/will have? :?

Can't see the logic in getting an PS3 XBOX One now...

It's pretty clear the specs are "very" similar.

If they both come in at a similar price, surely any sane person would choose the one with the additional features of Kinect and Media hub functionality. Without the bloat of TV and a Trending tab that comes before the Games tab.

Fixed that for you.

I hate the voice and gesture controls, it's so much less effort and quicker just to use a controller/remote.

Plus the forced game install that likely ruins the second hand game market kills it dead in the water for me.....just need confirmation on the latter part of this one.
