PSVR launching October @ £349

I'm thinking of going for the PS4 VR bundle at the end of the year and save my PC upgrade for the second gen headsets.

How is the accuracy with the Move controllers? Do they have 1:1 mapping like with Lighthouse?

Gizmag reckon the motion tracking is horrendous and have written an open letter to Sony asking them to produce an updated motion controller.

In fairness that sounds about right considering how old the move controllers are.

In that vid I posted the guy is playing 'Golem' and it seems to react as well as the old Kinect mk.1, you have to over emphasise your movements for it to register, so not very immersive.

If the DS4 tracks well I don't see why the Move controller's would be any different, surely it's the camera that is the limiting factor?

As said, Golem looks horrible tracking wise but I wouldnt be surprised if it's more an issue with the game. The characters don't lend themselves to fast, more human movements. Plus I've not heard anyone else moaning about tracking in other games.

Anyone else thinking of picking up or already bought some second hand move controllers?

Seems you can buy them on CEX online for £10 each. I have never bought anything from their stores either online or high street...

I bought a second hand Microsoft sidewinder steering wheel from them a few months ago. It was a painless ordering process and it arrived really quickly. There's a lot of overpriced tat on there, but some real bargains as well if you know what you are looking for (the steering wheel was £12 including p&p)

Might give it a go. Reviews against the move controllers seems good apart from one person complaining about a discoloured nicotine stained one that smelt.

Not sure if they consider that a basis for return...

In the last week have bought:

PS4 - Amazon
2 x Move controllers for £10 each - CEX
1 x Navigation controller - £6 - CEX
1 x camera £30 - Game
1 x controller charging stand - £15 - Amazon
1 x move charging stand £3 - Amazon

I have also ordered the move controllers and navigation controller from CEX plus move charging station from Amazon. Fingers crossed for no issues...

I have the move controllers (with nav controller) and chargers already. Just need to get myself the camera and I'll be ready for VR.

Games that look good so far No Man's Sky, Battlezone, 100ft Robot Golf and Eve V.

It will be intresting to see what kind of leap in terms of gpu the ps4k is.

In PC terms if it is like going from an r370 to an r390 then it will be worth it (especially if it takes destiny from 30fps to 60fps).

Just had a 30 minute session on a PSVR.

Played Rigs... Headset is really light and comfortable, screen clarity is pretty good. Immersion is just out there, had a few moments where I felt myself reacting to the game play physically by moving out the way in my chair!
