I think the joke was that Gasly, being P4, will be driving through flying carbon debris all around him whilst the Mercs and Red Bull smash each other to pieces.
 
Apparently no investigation necessary into Bottas and Verstappen yellow flag infringements.

So, leaving the track and gaining an advantage doesn't count, forcing another driver off the track doesn't count , yellow flags don't count.... Great...

The rules have gone out the window. I’m curious to see how drivers approach overtaking from now on.

If flags always take precedence, then 3 place drop for Bottas (single yellow) and 5 place drop for Verstappen (double yellows).

Both Bottas and Verstappen's videos look to me like "caught red handed". I'm a bit amazed that this never came up for comment during Sky's live coverage, or at least the after race coverage.
There will certainly be lots of "dummie" throwing going on the morning...................if not before. Unless both clips are fake..................which is always possible.

On second viewing, yes I completely misunderstood the pic :p
 
Is there anywhere which has sector times for each lap during quali? Watching Live Timing, I was pretty sure both Bottas and Max set slow final sectors suggesting that they did pull out of their laps.
 
Usually if they are called to the stewards for something like this it'a pretty much conclusive.... Let's see what happens
 
If the earlier 'No Investigation Necessary' reports are now being superseded by a summons to the stewards (which still isn't actually showing on the FIA documents site) I'd expect to see others summoned too - Bottas being the prime candidate for the same infringement. Not sure who out of the other drivers completing laps in that period actually passed the waved flags.

I believe 3 grid place penalties have been handed for single waved yellows previously, so this should be a decent bit more...
 
5 for doubles apparently, Bottas also summoned.

There is a YouTube video that makes it look a slam dunk
