Quantum Break PC requirements

Yer, I expect this to be a windows store game. Looks like I will have to have that as well as Steam, Origin, Uplay, GoG and Valve :(

While that is some serous recommended hardware, I would hope that means 'to run everything at max at a good frame rate'

Rather then what many company's do and say 'this is recommended...' and that only just about manages a mixture of high settings with some of the heavy stuff turned off.

Max Payne 1 & 2 are two of my favourite all time games, if it matches either and looks as good as it suggests then we are onto a winner.

Thought it looked very much like "Max Payne with time powers".

It looks good, will definitely give it a spin when it comes out.

Max Payne did have time powers, bullet time :D

I have uninstalled the Xbox app from windows 10, will it need that? Or will the store app suffice? (Will be getting the PC only version)

not sold on the story or gameplay, but the special effects look interesting,
dont think that justifies installing windows 10 though, I already have 4 ssds across different computers

Storyline is one that really makes me wait this game. All of Remedy's previous games have had great storyline and storytelling. And the amount of harddisk needed already supports that there is going to be a lot of cutscenes or other videos included. Ofc it's always possible that it'll be just medicre, but I have my hopes up.

Quantum Break Will Be Exclusive To Windows Store

Microsoft's Aaron Greenberg has commented on the recently announced Quantum Break for PC, which is set to launch same day and date as the Xbox One version of the game. According to Aaron Greenberg, Microsoft hadn't planned to release the game on PC alongside the Xbox One but their plans changed shortly afterwards. They didn't realize that it was possible to bring the game to PC in such a short amount of time. He also confirmed that Quantum Break will be released exclusively on the Windows 10 Store and denied a Steam release for PC. FYI, the Windows Store version of Rise of the Tomb Raider doesn't feature exclusive full screen support for SLI and Crossfire-based setups, and PC gamers aren't able to use third-party overlay programs like FRAPS or MSI Afterburner.

Quantum Break is currently set for a release on PC and Xbox One on April 5th, 2016. It is being developed by Remedy Interactive and published by Microsoft Game Studios.

This like fallout 4?

Looks like I will never play it unless I feel another xbone is worth it as I refuse to have Windows 10 on my own computers, didn't think I would like 8.1, but I prefer it to 10.

Sorry for being ignorant or lack of knowledge what's The Difference between Recommended and Ultra ??

If you play Rise of the Tomb Raider on max settings (recommended), you can cope fine with a 970/390 but there is other settings that go even further (shadows/hair/supersampling) that require more grunt than the recommended and if ROTTR had an Ultra spec, it would be the same as Quantum Break.

Well, if Microsoft really wants to "bring gamers together" as they advertise through windows store, then they really need to invest a lot in it, especially for us pc gamers. Many companies have their own portals, but nothing comes even close how good steam is. Everything just works.

No and its your loss

Odd?

Win 10's been a lot better than 8.1 for me.

I really liked 7 and did not think much of 8/8.1.

I found certain games were not compatible as well. Titles like Deadpool on Steam and Mass effect 1 on Origin would not work on Win 8/8.1 but when I moved to 10 they worked again.

I can't think of any issues I've had since moving to 10, I did a few settings so it was to my liking, such as updates by request and since then all smooth sailing.

It certainly is your loss.
