Queen Elizabeth II has passed away - keep posts civil and respectful

I mean it looks a bit ott, but did he seriously not think it was a little bit odd that he was blading down a closed street towards blue flashing lights and a motorcade, with police everywhere?

Could have had all sorts of intentions...

I don't believe he didn't realise what was going on.

Edit: also you can see that the police aren't strangling him... They're manhandling him to make sure they have a secure hold on him and he's restrained given how close he is to the motorcade, they have no idea what his intentions were, and that really isn't the place to have a long conversation about exactly what his plans were. The aim will have been to intercept a potential threat, which they did...

Agreed. He was 100% trying it on. Probably for the ‘gram or something  Absolutely no way you could continue down a closed street(s) that close to police outriders and flashing lights etc. The police response was absolutely on the money, you think in this day and age they should be taking any chances? No way. Well done to the police for handling it in a perfectly strict and managed way.

I’m so fed up of faux Twitter outrage being spoon fed to morons that lap it up like the best of the Daily Mail reading clowns.

Look, a hard man. If that was your kid taking a beating for roller skating, I bet you would have something to say.
Me? I’d have brought up my kids properly and they wouldn’t be trying any of that sort of nonsense. You think the road was closed just 20m off camera and everyone else was going about their business just out of shot? The roads were closed, it would have had some sort of perimeter. Any muppet would have known what they were doing was wrong, let alone stopped at the side when they saw a convoy of flashing lights. You can see as he gets carted off the barriers (and crowds) go on as far as you can see - at least 100m.

It’s a total non story. Police in doing their job shocker.

It’s probably illegal to rollerblade in the street anyway :p

Except he isn't 'taking a beating', he's being restrained . And he wasn't just 'roller skating', he was skating rather quickly down a road which looked fairly closed (whatever he claims, and regardless of whether there was some entrance without barriers, clearly something was going on) surrounded by crowds of spectators past loads of police, towards a motorcade with blue flashing lights.

If that was my kid I'd ask him what the **** he thought he was doing.

I'm not sure anyone's really being a 'hard man' here...

I echo the comments above. The street shut off, barriers everywhere and people to the side. He knew something was going on.
A sentiment the officer agrees with as he was telling him not to lie about it when he was asking what’s going on as he is being dragged to the floor.

Just another person wanting their 5 minutes of fame nothing to see here.

Imagine the absolute hammering the police would get, if that had been someone who wanted to harm the king, who’d managed to get to the motorcade and performed a terror attack or something.

Looks like they were doing their job quite well to be honest, and I also think it’s complete BS that he didn’t know what was happening..
