Queen Elizabeth II has passed away - keep posts civil and respectful

Sounds horrible I know, but I feel relieved it’s nearly all over, its been such a strange fortnight or so

Not at all mate, It's been draining and sadly added to all the things upsetting people too from what is happening in our country to the covid issues past 2 years and everything in between, this was like the cherry topping to all the horrible things that could happen, we even lost our Queen it sets a mood of even she couldn't escape the horrors of the world we live in currently. She for many stands as symbol of hope and good and even that has been taken away from some of us.

This week I hope we all get up and start to make some changes for the good from our politicians to the general public standing up for what is their rights and to stop being taken for a ride. The sheep mentality has to stop now and time to remember we are British and we should be leading the way for what is good in the world, not sheep being taken over by bad politics or decisions by people in power for themselves.

Today I was really proud of the whole ceremony and most proud how well behaved and respectful the people were. That is the Britain I know and remember and want back what I saw today.

Give it a rest comrade
This is what happens when you spend too much time on Twitter reading 'words of wisdom' from individuals barely past sucking on their mothers teet. Let alone having a grasp of the UK political system.

So true. Our country will be fine, we’ve faced tougher times over the centuries. People need to get some historic perspective. Things may well be painful but we will overcome it.

Our political systems historically are actually pretty sound. They’ve withstood intense periods, we never descended in to fascism or communism like much of Europe. They may not have been perfect but they’ve ensured a level of stability, progression and affluence that many nations around the world have never experienced.

Today has been quite incredible, the scale of the organisation, the precision of the entire event. The King and other members of the family must be absolutely exhausted.

It makes me laugh when some people say we have no culture. The breadth of our history and traditions are magnificent. So proud to see our service men and women today at work.

It does to me. Just ignore it, anyone who uses them are morons
hold on there tiger.. I use FB to organise game nights, modelling, terrain modelling groups, share my miniature photos and keep in touch with friends that live many hours away. I am far from a moron thank you very much.

Twitter on the other hand, I use to to see what can trigger me at any given time. :P

I use FB for wombling, contacting friends who live other parts of the UK and the world

Same, I just acknowledge that going out of my way to tell people that makes me look like a ********.
As does attempting to make the point that everyone should feel the same way about something that's taken over the media and the huge swathe of the country for the last week or so.

Yes, the silent, respectful, bored out their skulls with it, have the moral high ground, I suggest you join them. :)

Out of interest, if you are so bored of it why are you in this thread dedicated to something you are bored of discussing it? I suggest you go do something that doesn't bore you :)
