Queen Elizabeth II has passed away - keep posts civil and respectful

Maybe it's the Dubonnet and Gin but I'm finding this much more moving than the earlier ceremony. It might even be dusty in here.

Rest in Peace, Queen Elizabeth II, we will not see your like again.
I'm typing crass humour, but I can barely see the keys, to be honest, (but my wife does say i even cry at cartoons, she's made of harder stuff...). I have no embarassment in saying I have red eyes, and it's not the booze. A dazzlingly fitting tribute to one of the very best. Mr. Jack, I agree, sadly I fear we see the end of a remarkable era, a truly remarkable reign.

Taking a coffin up steps is horrible. Can't imagine trying it up that many. At least these lads are similar in height. Carrying my uncle's coffin when I'm a tad over 6' 3" and the tallest of my three cousins is 5' 9" was kinda awkward.

Next time use pads and blocks, mate. The undertaker should have them.

It's a shame we can't watch the final ceremony this evening, it would be interesting to see what kind of ceremony it actually is and what happens
You're right it would be interesting but Charles and the rest of the family deserve the opportunity to say goodbye without the pomp and affair and public eye.

This has arguably been the most globally viewed funeral in history. To have to share it with such a large audience must be surreal. The family deserve some privacy.

Amazing. Impeccable the whole past few days. Just incredible really the majesty of it all, the precision. Very very impressive. God bless the Queen! It’s going to take some time for it to fully sink in.

I think the royal family have been amazing. The King especially. The man is in his 70’s, the effort he’s already put in, he will be a fine King I am certain of it.

The whole thing has been done under the worlds gaze I'm glad they're going to have a proper private farewell.

Hopefully won't see them doing any public stuff for a while either all this stuff just must be emotionally exhausting. Anyone who has lost close family knows what it's like, then imagine doing it like they've had too.
