Caporegime
Following further evaluation this morning, The Queen’s doctors are concerned for Her Majesty’s health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision.
The Queen remains comfortable and at Balmoral.
Yea, didn't she say as much? She will stay on the throne until the day she dies... which given the above tweet and BBC breaking news about her health, may not be far off
I don't think she'll step down. She'll die in the job.
if that is what she wants then fair play to her...... wouldnt be my choice personally however. Yeah the new breaking update does not sounds great. immediate family informed and she is comfortable!. Does not sound great.Yea, didn't she say as much? She will stay on the throne until the day she dies... which given the above tweet and BBC breaking news about her health, may not be far off
If I was Charles, I'd pass it on to William straight away. He won't out of selfish reasons.
I'd much rather have King William
to be fair why should he?
it's the monarchy, it's not a democratic vote and it should not be a popularity competition.
There's no reason to dread the passing of a frail 96 year old stranger, and there's even less reason to ready yourself for battle with yet more strangers on the internet.Sadly I think you're right, I was only saying the same to my wife last night, Her Majesty is slipping more and more from her duties and the public eye. What I dread more than her passing is trying to keep my own counsel whilst those that despise the monarchy egg one another on to more and more outrageous comments.
I am sure I myself give the moderators some grief at times, but have hopefully never been seen to rejoice in an innocent person's passing. I pity their job when the inevitability of her demise arrives.
Where'd you see that? The Royals are all heading to Balmoral now....
No very true. I'm just saying I think people would prefer William over Charles. Charles is no spring chicken himself.
William is more in touch with the people, and I guess it depends on how you view the monachy in the 21st Century. I support them mainly because they still give us a bit of culture. I mean other than Zone 1, Windsor, Eton etc etc where else do you see the flag flying apart from during things like the jubilees and weddings.
I agree, between the lines this sounds as though it could be something quite majorThe concerning thing about this is the palace has made a statement.
Given issues with her health are usually kept private, that kind of statement seems to be against the grain, and potentially setting the country up for more dire news.
