Queen Elizabeth II has passed away - keep posts civil and respectful

Well 6pm and no announcement. You’d imagine if it was going by the books, it would be on the dot
pretty hard to get all communications to the relevant people if she passed 5:55 and get the new Monarch to London to make the announcement with the PM. If anything it will be tomorrow at 6pm (if she has passed from now until then)

Seems typical that Harry is holding up the show :p

BBC News showing Buckingham Palace now from helicopter, maybe they're expecting the notice to be put up soon.

BBC are just consistently repeating and hinting. Protocol is to await the palace etc. But everything that has happened today suggests London Bridge has started. Which I assume she has already passed away.

The royal correspondent on the BBC basically confirmed it without confirming: 'in the absence of any hard facts, the imagery we have seen tells the story'. How else are you supposed to take that? Then elaborates how somber the royals in the back of the jeep looked.

BBC constantly saying we don't know much but they don't call all the family together for minor issues etc, but we don't want people to read into it or come to any conclusions... But we will do big hints so people think she has passed away

Personally, I have no feelings towards the Royals one way or another. I do however sympathise with her family as fellow human beings and hope when the time comes she passes without suffering.

My wife tells me a royal has posted a video to say the Queen has a form of bone cancer and has had it for a few years. Not seen it myself but not sure the family would approve of a fellow royal giving out information on the Queens health.

Is that the Lady Colin Campbell one? She's not a royal, and she's mostly known for writing exaggerated books about the royals. Some of her claims - denied at the time - have turned out to be true; others seem to have been made up on the basis of flimsy rumour.

I'm suspecting that the Queen is in such poor health that all the family have been notified and summoned to Balmoral for her final moments. :(

Looks like the health of our Queen isn't important enough for Meghan Markle to join her husband and support him during these worrying moments.

Don't start with the Meghan bashing, its not the place. Kate isn't there either

Well it's gone 6pm and Charles isn't King so she's not passed yet, I imagine given everybody rushing there it'll be sometime in the next few days that she goes, the fact they're only being driven from the airport and not airlifted by helicopter suggests not as much urgency as if she was immediately ready to pass
