Maybe he's coping just fine and isn't worried in the slightest?
 
It's tricky for the presenters as they have to sit there but can't really say anything, positive or negative. Kind of pointless in many ways.

The weather was so bad they wouldn't have been flown there, same as Tue with Boris and Truss

I mean, technically if she's passed, then yes Charles could be King right now. It's just not officially announced.
 
While she did look very frail when meeting Liz she didn't look on death's door, yes at this age things can go downhill fast but was expecting this a few days later.

I did think her eyes look weird, seemed she wasn't really seeing/looking at Liz, maybe we might get some goodish news and its her eyesight is about gone and wanted to see all the family together for one last time. Clutching at straws but well, who knows

Yeah was there a bit of a dig at the family for taking a plane up rather than go by car.

I guess nothing is going to be announced until he has got there.

The prime minister would address the House of Commons. The new monarch would host a meeting with the prime minister and then deliver a speech to the nation at 6 p.m., the evening following the Queen's death

Not really sure it would be appropriate that she be there to be fair. Awful woman and sure she would find a way to make it all about her if she was there...... Best decision to stay away.

Of maybe out of respect she travelled with him to Scotland but let him go see his Grandma on his own?
