Life will go on as a relatively normal bank holiday on Monday for a lot of places/people. It's not disrespectful it's a choice and whilst people may not agree with it they should be entitled to choose what they feel they want to do.

To me, stopping people harassing mourners at a funeral procession seems like the kind of thing that should be considered a reasonable restriction on Freedom of Expression.

I think it's not really about the queen dying in itself. Covid, extended wfh and lack of socialising, a new government, cost of living crisis, the queen dying has had a significant impact on mental health. This may be the straw that broke the camel's back for some.

I mean, yeah, but really? Not worrying about feeding their kids over the winter or putting new school uniforms on their backs. It's the Queen dying that's the straw? Really? I mean I know some people have taken it harder than others, but man. I think most people that are upset about the Queen aren't really THAT bothered if push comes to shove.

BTW, as someone who sometimes works as a contractor, and makes it their business to befriend HR, DO NOT EMAIL HR. Never email HR. maybe leave 24 hrs earlier than planned for any comfort, book a Premier Inn/sleep in car etc...no basis for this (obviously) but the last 10-20% of the journey could be the longest part
