Quest 2 accessories - recommendations, reviews etc

That's what I fear will happen when my order arrives. Have they said how much? I ordered some motorcycle part from USA few years ago and import duty and VAT plus Royal Mail handling cost nearly as much as the part.

Not yet, it's still with Deutsche Post. Once Royal Mail gets it I'm sure they'll hold me to ransom.

I thought VAT was meant to be collected by VR Optician, I didn't have this issue with my VR Cover, but it is what it is and of course I'll pay it. All I can say is, without getting political, my conscience is clear on this since I wasn't in the camp we are now in and I hope those who did vote for it get stiffed like this often and whinge.

I too didn't pay anything more for VR cover delivery. That was only £41 whereas VR lense order comes to £75. I am expecting with VAT etc for it to total over £100! Maybe those who wanted that which should not be named do not order much from Europe.

Done some adlusting on the gomrvr strap. It is now perfect! I was half tempted to get the official one as I just couldn't get my strap to feel as comfortable as that. But, I've sussed it :)

What was wrong on the initial fit that you had to adjust?

I just felt that it wasn't grabbinng the back of my head enough. Don't get me wrong, 10x better than the stanndard strap, even inncorrectly sdjhusted.

I've moved it as far forward as it can go now, pivoted it upwards more, but also pivoted the rear portion upwards more too. Hard to explain without a picture.

I can vouch for halo gomrvr strap as I find mine really comfortable. Suppose it depends on headshape if find it comforatable or not. But for under £30 it is viable option to try.

I had trouble initially as well and was confused how everyone said it's really secure when it felt like it could come off at any point.

I think I'm similar to how you have it. I adjust the side clamp things so that it slides in most of the way (I think that's what you mean, rather than the headset being forwards which would be the opposite), pivot the arms up so that the front strap is higher up, pretty much the top front of the head, meaning that 1. there's no forehead pressure and 2. it's helping to counter the weight of it pulling down rather than relying on the tightness of the strap to hold it in place (which makes it even worse if the front strap is on the forehead). Then I pull the rear strap as far down as I can at the back of my head so it cups under the boney part. Using the top velcro strap doesn't really make a difference for me.

I missed my VR Optician lenses delivery today, damn you work, so I had a card through the door. No mention of VAT/Duty and I can’t imagine they expect to take payment at the door. I’ll pop down and collect them from the sorting office tomorrow.

They were shipped Monday so not too bad.

I just picked my VR Optician lenses up from the sorting office and I was not asked for VAT and import duty. Hopefully they don't try and bill you at a later date.

Installed and it's nice being able to use the thinner face pad and no glasses.

did aanyone order VR lenes get the ZEISS DuraVision BlueProtect or similar ?

I've read reviews on the Zeiss product and they do well on the write up saying they dont necessarily change colours of anything (reds are still red, yellow are still yellow etc) but protect your eyes if your looking at led screens etc

I'm tempted to order with them but for me anyway its another £27 bringing my total near £200 mark (-11 on both left/right)
