I just tried it again now I've got it set up, more tweaking needed, and as I have my small 10000mAh battery vertical, as that is where the elastic bands hold it nice and securely, the cable just reaches. My issue now is I'm concerned it's putting stress onto the Q2's USB port so the £6.25 I've spent on a slightly longer one put's my mind at ease.

The VR cover interfaces are comfortable, It like having your face sat on by a....... well you get the idea.

So these arrive today and I’m really impressed. Had about an hour with HL alyx and some Eleven TT and they stayed in place no problem and there was no fogging either. They feel nice and clipped into place, as well as taken back off again with relative ease.

No increase in god rays, if anything slightly better. Even more pleasing is I was able to reduce the VR cover from the thicker one to the thin one so I’m that little bit closer to the screen.
 
I imagine that’s frustrating! Are you going to get some?

I also got some 3D printed brackets for my Koss KSC75 headphones. Make them like the rift ones I believe.

Headset is now just a straight on affair! No messing about putting glasses in and headphones on! Really happy with the setup.
 
got the mvh head strap. nowhere near as stable or comfortable as the ali express halo strap. will relegate it to the backup head strap for extended gaming due to ease of battery attachment but for me the ali express jobbie wins hands down on comfort, looks and stability.
 
im tempted to give the elite strap ago, hopefully as its official one, it will sort my problems out

really want to get back into VR, its been weeks, until i get a comfy strap..

you tried the ali express halo strap? as per my post above it's infintely more comfortable imo than the mvh one.

quick q - what is that extra cable beside the usb cable?
