Quest 2 accessories - recommendations, reviews etc

Just fixed my original facial interface to the back of my original strap, so it cups the skull a bit. Managed to fix my battery pack to it as well. Going to give it a try. Wanted to try using the original strap as I was getting tired of switching between my mvhstudios one and the original for when my boy plays. Not sure when I'll be able to have an extended go (maybe Monday), but seems comfortable on first attempt.

did you see that on Reddit? I thought it looked brilliant, and I didn't believe it would be comfortable until I actually put the Original interface against the back of my head.

Haven't tried it with the original strap yet of course. Would give it a go, but, I would have to dismantle my MVH strap to do it.

Yeah on reddit. Had seen it before but didn't have a spare then. It'll take a while to get used to the facial interface pushing on my face again rather than the headband bit of the mvh.

The VR flight sim guy has lost a little credulity, as he's plugging the bog standard halo strap sold by faswalo for 120 notes. Fortunately it's currently half price.:eek::eek:

Not linking the video as it doesn't deserve the watch.

Reading past posts with interest and awaiting my quest 2 to arrive.

Have your credit card handy, as I can foresee a large expenditure on accessories coming up. Whelk erm to the oasis!

Bought the elite strap and half like alyx already. I know there’s a few other apps such as VR desktop but I’ll get that when it arrives later.

Booked to get my eyes tested for laser surgery on Monday, hopefully get them done the week after. That’ll be 1900x2 so yes it’ll be costly.

Do you know that prescription VR lenses are a thing? :) Did they show you the chart from **** arse industries?
Maybe get one done and spend the rest on cakes? One eye is plenty, we've got a bunch of binocular microscopes at work. Everybody squints down them.

Haha, yes I looked at the lens awhile back when I had an Index on PreOrder but didn't order it in the end. I have a friend that has his eyes done and his vision was awful prior to that.

It seems like a good idea, although I can't say I'm looking forward to the 23 seconds of shiny laser beam in to each eye.

It's just like nearly every other head strap out there. Some people will think it's the most comfortable ever, some people will think it's ok and others will hate it.

It does look good though.

Agreed, I don't know what they were thinking with those short padded arms. Might've been better if it they had been one continuous bar.... and parallel to the outline of the head.

I am guessing here, but, I reckon they left the gap so that the strap isn't pushing down on those arms. I think they are more for stability in side to side movements.
