Quest 2 Facebook leak - XR2 chipset, 6gb RAM, "almost 4k display"

I just reactivated my old dormant FB account, unfriended everyone, deleted everything on the timeline, and left it like that. Should be fine for Oculus. I don't use FB at all anyway.

Any game that can make use of roomscale or the ability to dodge or move around is much better on the Quest than PCVR, due to the lack of a cable. Even with the drop in visual fidelity and framerate.

My current favourite is In Death: Unchained, which is a bow and arrow rogue lite. It was great on PC, but with room to move around and physically dodge it's amazing on Quest. Considering the low power of the Quest, the port is absolutely incredible and improves on the abandoned PC version in quite a few ways.

Fitness games like FitXR (Formerly BoxVR) and Thrill of The Fight are much better without the cord.

Also a lot of Quest 1 games are getting upgraded visuals for Quest 2 and will be worth a buy.

I have my Rift S cable ceiling mounted, so the chord doesn't bother me. Tried the original Quest for about 2 weeks but didn't like it much, thought it was uncomfortable, visuals were too much of a downgrade with the lower refresh rate. But the Quest 2 seems a lot better and to me is finally a headset that I can use anywhere. And if it's good enough, might even replace my Rift S as my PCVR headset.

I reckoned that the type of games you mentioned would be better on the Quest, I was just wondering was there any stand out, must have games for the Quest. But, it seems not, so I will probably end up buying some of the games I have already for the Quest 2.

Beat Sabre, simple and addictive with the bonus of getting exercise at the same time.
Pistol Whip, fps shooter it's on rails but don't let that put you off.

Two games I don't actually have and have been thinking about getting. So this might be the time!!

Oh, I got a delivery date, the 21st of October. Now see if they actually manage to do that :)

I had made the account dormant so when I logged in it re-activated it.
Unfriending everyone and deleting everything took ages as they don't make it easy. If you tell them to delete the account it stays dormant for 90 days, so no good for this purpose. You have to delete and unfriend everyone one by one.

Cancelled my Oculus order and bought it elsewhere with a £20 discount and 13th delivery.

It's on the deals site that is in the UK and scorchio ;)

Just had a look at this and whilst £20 off sounds appealing, and 'they say' you'll get it on the 13th, it seems convoluted to cancel with Oculus as you have to send in a support ticket, there's no easy cancel option within your account?

there is  you click on 'cancel' on the order screen, select a reason and that's it. An email is sent immediately to confirm.

Took all of 10 seconds if that :D

Also, you get a 2-year warranty as standard will electricals from that company.

How would they sell higher capacities then? Also, can you imagine the amount of support tickets they'd get when people put El-Cheapo SD cards in the headset and it runs like crap?

A good enough SD card would probably cost more than the difference anyway, though of course people wouldn't know that to start with.

I'd like to be able to use external storage for watching videos though.

setup a DLNA server on your phone and use one on the many Quest apps to watch it. Have a 256GB MicroSD in the current phone as well as the 64GB internal, plenty to hold and stream a few movies.
