I'm seeing conflicting reports. Do we know if the experience will be an improved one from the Rift going to the Quest 2 for PC VR 99% of the time?

What are you going to do when they ask for photo id as part of their identification checks? Normally takes a few weeks for new accounts.

Will supply some if necessary and make it an actual account, otherwise will leave as is.

Failing that will sign up as my son or use my wifes account(still has one).

Also much reduced SDE (which is independent of render resolution), but compression artefacts in dark or busy scenes.

That's what, about 138kg? I wouldn't call that small.

Lots of people used a bit more than that for the original quest from what I can tell (in weight, not capacity). By attaching it to the back, it apparently offsets the weight at the front, leading to a more comfortable experience. 2 birds with one stone.

People's Quest's that have shipped already, it that direct from Oculus or somewhere else like the rainforest?

I ordered mine with Oculus and it still states Processing for shipping. Guessing they will start shipping on the 13th.

I am getting mine elsewhere. They wouldn't allow me to part ship, so I cancelled the Elite Strap + Battery which was delayed until November.

Hopefully that means I will get my Quest Wednesday and I am not put to the back of the Queue.

The Quest 2 will be amazing compared to the Rift Civ 1. You might need to be committed but not because you upgraded to the Quest 2!!

My 5 meter USB lead just turned up and my Quest 2 has had the money taken. Says delivery is tomorrow

My order has been picked and is awaiting dispatch. Seems I should hopefully get it tomorrow. The retailer usually uses DPD too, which is a massive bonus; they usually deliver here in the morning.

My order with oculus still says processing for shipping, I ordered it as soon as the pre order came up and they've taken the money.

Edit: just got my yodel email, delivery on the 14th
