Quest 3 accessories thread

I have just contacted the jungle store to return my elite strap with battery after the 30 day window due to its problems. The customer help didn’t even question it and offered me full refund!
now looking for what to use in its place. I know it has been discussed a lot here but what is the best for holding a charge, comfort etc at the moment? I was looking at the aubika with battery and the bobovr version. What are the recommendations?
The Aubika gets good reviews. It even charges the q3. It's basically an elite strap but the battery works!

Apparently keeps the Q3 charged for 6+hours

Just on with Meta CS chat about the battery strap.. I swear it's been fine for weeks, about 10 charges or so, and then boom.. noticed 2 days ago the headset wasn't charged, but the Elite battery strap was.. did some quick checking and realised the extended battery was apearing briefly, then disappearing in the quick settings..

I'm on with CS now.. 30 minutes and we are now chatting about games whilst they are looking in to the issue..

They know the problem, just tell me they'll send a new one when they are available and I can carry on using a USB battery pack to tide me over..

[edit]
LOL.. this has to be an AI bot I'm chatting with, we are now on what movies I watch on the Q3.. except when I said "The Matrix - Resurrections", chat said "The one where Keano Reeves in the main lead".. sure buddy, no it's the Matrix movie without Keanu in at all.. LOL.. and apparantly all the actors are good in that film.. so generic.. Stop stalling and get me a replacement damn it..
And.....

Nothing, they'll email me with an update later..

I like the strap though so will persevere, they are manufacturing new ones now, so would have to wait anyway!

Ordered the aubika strap with battery! Due for delivery by December 16th. Anyone know of a charging dock that fits these straps? All I look at seem to have charger lead at side for the quest 3 power socket, not at the back for the strap battery.

That bloke is mostly talking garbage. I think it's very well built. I had no problem installing mine, didn't break anything and it really is the most comfortable headstrap because every other strap will hurt your face after a while.

The battery is fine, it gives quite a lot of extra play time while keeping the quest battery at 100% or close to it depending on the app or game being played. Mine doesn't make any noise either. I didn't have much issue with feeding the little velcro strap through and in fact I've since released it and let it hang over the top, (it's only about an inch long) because it's less restricting without it.

It's common knowledge that it's less suitable for action games because of the wobble and that's about the only negative worth considering.

In my opinion, for playing games like Red Matter, Moss, or any non action game, this is the best strap to use because it can be worn for hours and you don't really want to be wearing any other strap that squashes your face. There's a reason why the BoboVR is popular and hyped. It's not for everyone but it's a damn good headstrap.
just got my bobo vr fitted feels like bliss in comparison to the default g string very comfy indeed and no buzzing which i sort of half expecting with most reviews now mentioning it. it fits me like a glove and with me being able to get it tighter it dont seem to wobble as much as the stock strap for me. there is a little play but not as bad as stock because it dont bounce of my nose now :D

Excellent, I'm pleased it's working out for you and your findings match mine. Enjoy your BoboVR. :)

Anyone found a case that works well with the Q3 and Bobo M3 Pro?

This video below shows that the C2 does work. Someone on reddit has a C2 and said it takes his Quest 3 and M3 Pro plus it also fits his AMVR controller grips. I'm going to order one. It's £44.12. The only thing that looks different is that there's a couple of metal contacts or magnets visible in the video where the battery goes and they don't appear to be on the C2 on the rainforest but everything else looks the same.

I just ordered the BoboVR C2 carry case from the rainforest, arriving Thursday. Before buying, I had emailed BoboVR to make sure the C2 is compatible and they replied:

So there's a C3 carry case in the works.

C2 arrived! Everything fits great including prescription lens case, Soundcore VR10, microfibre cloth, spare Bobo velcro strips, two controllers, Bobo battery in magnetic slot, and of course the M3 Pro strap. Lovely carry case. :)

Wonderful, will get one ordered I think :D I had seen some comments about the front cameras butting up against the edge of the case and perhaps rubbing/scraping, but I guess that ultimately depends on how expanded the strap is?

Yes you're right, the front does actually butt up against the edge but nothing that worries me as it's a close fit but not a tight fit. I don't think it'll scratch anything. It's a soft fabric inside covering over a harder material, probably plastic. It's easy to horizontally put it straight into the case and lift straight out, but if you hold the back up at an angle with front downwards it slips and out in every more gently. (ooh matron!) :D They're eventually going to bring out a C3 (no current dates) and no doubt that will have some contouring for the cameras.

im tempted to order this from the US / UK but im going to try and hold out for VR Cover and see what they produce as i was really impressed when i had it on my Quest 2

Same here, having something comfy sat on your face is great. I'm still using my Q2 more than the Q3 because it's more comfortable. VR Cover are missing a trick and the christmas market by leaving it so late to get a facial interface to market.
