I gave in and bought this. First impressions are very good. Immediately you can tell the facial interface isn't pressing on your face (which seems odd, as it isn't a halo design! But there you go).So what's the go to for a strap which is more comfortable, but doesn't add to the bulk too much?
Saw a Kiwi one that looked interesting:
Does this kind of design put a lot of tension on the over-the-head strap?

and they work well. I can see how a set with much shorter wires would be nice though.
To be honest, I haven't even bothered using them with the Q3 yet, the sound quality from the speakers is such an improvement over the Rift S. But I probably should, so it's even better again.
I don't like earbuds so never bothered with them. The audio from the Quest 3 is quite good enough for me (and the Quest 2 from memory). One thing I did notice though is that if you cup your ears when using it it sounds even better. If I had a 3D printer I'd make some cups just to emulate that.
Are they to make it sound better? Or just for a Princess Leia cosplay outfit?

Try the Globular Cluster magnetic interface. Comes with three faceplates and three different cushions, plus the nosepiece is removable.
Not currently available that I can find. Keep looking into it and being tempted.
You got a link, when I see it its saying out of stock 2-3 weeks delivery...
Bitten the bullet and bought one.
