That's good news! I suspect I may have a wide face ergo wider frames! Just checked and current frames, which are apparently medium sized?! (55-16-141).
 
I have a small head, I'll it buy when I get to the airport, then by the time I get home I should have another FI :D

I Might do a giveaway before Christmas as I have a couple of FI's that have been used twice and then replaced lol

Mine are allegedly 134mm wide. However the arms curve outwards slightly which then get caught on the stock interface. Thanks Oakley. :rolleyes:

Played for an hour this afternoon (I expect you to die and finally started Half Life Alyx) and no pain at all. Very happy with that.
 
Oops. The BoboVR M3 Pro fell into my basket yesterday. I don't know how that happened. ;)

Arrives Wednesday.

Got my 3d printer working on a replacement battery mount. I've got 3 identical 10k 22.5w slim battery packs that I don't use much, so will create a quick swap mount for them.

The power cable comes neatly out from the side and not the rear so it's very short and doesn't get in the way.

There is no on/off switch so if you don't want the battery strap charging the Q3 you have to unplug the usb.
My old Aubika had a on/off button and was very useful but apart from this the K4 strap is heads above the Aubika.

For £44 it was a bargain compared to £67 on the Forrest black Friday sale

We’ve bought this. Won’t get to try it yet.

Presume this doesn’t have the smarts of the quest elite one which stops charging the headset at 70% …

Is the right thing to do to use headset then plug it cable at 50 odd percent and carry on?

It doesn't have smart stop charging
All I do is when the quest 3 gets to around 70% I just connect the headstrap.
I'm not sure what the best way is to be fair, a lot of people just use the headstrap connected all the time and charge both the Quest 3 and headstrap to 100%

Cheers I’ll do some research.

I suspect the game is to not let it get fully charged or discharged. TBH we’ll probably just plug it in an leave it to do its things.

Can always replace the battery in the future (painfully) if needed to do so.

That was the only feature of the elite that made it tempting. But not for the price.

Need to get a case actually too. Does the standard case fit with the k4 on?
 
M3 Pro headband arrived a couple of days early! :D Spent an hour with it so far. Good god halo bands are comfy. It's not entirely happy with the AMVR interface, but as I'm not moving the headset all the way back as I'm still wearing glasses, it doesn't matter. Works for me.
Spent some time playing Fallout 76 on a mahoosive screen using wireless Steam VR. :D Lovely.

I think the only accessories I'm looking at now are some controller knuckle bands and the prescription lenses.

So you mean you played the pancake game, using the Quest to display it as if you were sat in front of a large screen? Anything special you have to do to achieve that? I've only ever used SteamVR to play VR games!

(I have watched some Amazon Prime football, and some Disney+ shows via the Quest though, and it works very well!

Loaded up Steam Link on the headset, brought up my steam library and launched Fallout76. That was it.

Well, other than switching to passthrough mode to find my keyboard that I'd moved and couldn't find by touch. :D
 
i have modified my Quest 3 again, need to test it, but i think this is the final version

Meta Elite strap (no battery version)
1x 30cm USB-C to USB-C cable
1x Seatbelt padding (cut in two) one on the back, 1 on the top
Anker Powerbank (slots in the seatbelt padding nicely
