Understood. I appreciate it's a mechanism to do a lot more than the functions I was trying to test. I think I'll just leave it well alone for the time being. Hoping for delivery of lens and face interface next week to finally actually spend some time playing stuff in it

Picked my quest up this afternoon. Now getting around to set it up.

Discovered my glasses really do no get on with it. Pushes them into the left side of my nose. Lovely.

Didn't get the 3 months of Quest Plus or batman game. Boo. Also now on with Meta Support to find out why the referral link did nothing for me.

If you look on the inside you can pull the sides out to give you space for your glasses.

Check manual if above doesn't make sense.

Get onto support for all of it. They should be able to restore the game, referral and plus subscription, and usually are good at giving a bit extra for the inconvenience.

Mine was automated when I clicked on batman and quest +. Support are quite responsive so I'm sure you'll get it sorted

you may want to consider prescription lens instead of using glases if it continues to causes you issuses

Aha... Refurbished headsets don't count. Ok well. Was worth a try. Pretty sure some people got them with refurbs, but apparently not anymore.

Need to get an eye test and order some lenses. Apparently glasses that are 142mm should fit. Mine are 140mm and seem to catch on the side.

I don't mind the strap, need to play some more with it to get it comfortable. Spent about 45 minutes trying a couple of different things. Tried looking at some 360 VR on youtube, suspect youtube compression didn't do it any favours. Very impressed with it so far.

Have tried using some wired IEM's. Need to get a cable made (or make one myself) that's the correct length. Did not like my Shure SE535's at all. But they're difficult to drive at the best of times.

KZ zs10 Pro's were fine.

Just out of curiosity, what condition was your refurb in as some folks who brand new units DOA had them replaced with refurbs that were a biohazard.

Well that sounds nasty as hell. This one is immaculate. No marks, no hair, no fingerprints. The white fabric of the strap has no marks on it either. Smelt like new electronics too.

If I didn't know it was a refurb I would have had no idea.

Just to clarify, the ones meta are sending out are a bit dubious. It seems that UK refurbished units are 'as new'

pretty sure thats my first VR expirence, at a theme park, costing £4
in some ways its ome a long way, and in other ways not so much.

I had a quest 3 when they launched but sold it on as wasnt using it much would I still get the free game if I pick one up now as I already have an account with my old quest 3?

If you buy a new headset from a retailer, then you should in theory get the batman game. The game comes with the headset and is transferred to your account when you activate it.

I got the 3 months for Quest+ offer come up on the Meta Horizon app. So accepted that and grabbed the Warplanes: WW1 game. Was one of the ones I was interested in. 10 seconds in and instant disassociation between brain and body happens. Possibly because I've done a bit of flying so was expecting the g forces and my brain just screamed... WRONG! Was doing the arcade mode and after a few minutes all was pretty well.

Tried Super Rumble as well (not bad for a basic included small arena shooter) and the augmented shooter that comes with the Quest. Can't remember what it's called but you shoot the fuffy things as they break through your walls. Was kind of fun that one. That may be one of the games I use to demo it to people.

Love it when you go into the game details and it loads an environment around you. Batman surprised me with the batsignal.

Gave it a go without my glasses too, and that's a no. My eyes are too fubar'd. :cry:

I had a similar issue with glasses got some prescription ones from honsVR, absolutely perfect
