It's clearly a lot slimmer, which helps the weight distribution immensely. I've attached the skullcap attachment I had on my q2 strap just fine, and have the elasticated powerbank holder on there too. Lovely.

Walkabout golf, I can now look out the corner of my eye and see the hole! Really nice FOV improvement.

Passthrough is interesting. It's obviously not perfect, but I could read my phone fairly well. However, playing the little MR game on the intro, you don't notice the quality, it just works because you're into it. Playing in an awkward space, but it was great to see them appearing from different places, climbing on furniture, going behind things as well. It'll probably be mini games, but there's a ton of fun mini games to be had with that!

Good luck, hope you get an RMA out pretty sharpish!! Stocks seem to be low for the 512GB version. I can't remember if you were getting the 512 or 128 one.

Any idea of what sound quality is like generally on vr headsets, without using headphones? (Admittedly I know that's impossible to quantify without me experiencing it first hand!)

Not sure if its helpful, but my 128GB via rain of the forest, sat as dispatched and is now out for delivery. You can expand the tracking information to see what's going on. Mine sat in Croydon for 2 days...
 
First impressions!

Setup was ok but I get an error trying to redeem the free Asgards Wrath game.

The first encounters game is great fun - have to say mixed reality with the passthrough is fantastic. I think that could be a big thing.

I'm a bit confused about the guardian boundary. I went through scanning the room and setting up all my furniture, which worked great in the first encounters game. But then when you go back to home environment it doesn't seem to be using that scanned room and reverts back to a standard drawn boundary.

Fov definitely wider, but can still see the edges and they aren't circular this time.

Standard strap feels ok to me, unit doesn't want to fall forward off your face with it.

Mine is charging. I haven't switched it on yet but I have tried the headset on for fit. It's not quite as comfy with glasses on as I thought it might be as I can feel slight pressure on the left side of my glasses frame and I've pulled the cushion all the way out to the fourth notch. I guess it's ok but after a little play I'll be able to tell if I need to order prescription lenses. There's quite a gap at the bottom of the nose channel allowing light in and letting me see my hands, is it meant to be like that? I thought it would be light sealed.

The gap is normal, if you're on the biggest eye relief it'll be a bit bigger. You won't notice if you're playing unless you really keep looking for it.
