Quest 3 owners etc

Tried Pavlov and VTOL VR as they are the only things I had installed at the time.

Nice upgrade from a Q2, much more crisp with the new lenses and slight resolution bump.
Strap is meh as expected, waiting on BoboVR for that.

The little plastic skull cap I got for my q2 does the job nicely for the Q3, the change in the top strap has meant I can't attach it to that one, but there really wasn't any need to regardless.

Used the elasticated power bank holder on the back too, though it really doesn't seem to need the counter balance.

Ordered my Q3 512GB today from Meta. Expected Friday. Not worried if it is delayed as it will be an Xmas present. Getting worried about all the dead pixel reports though. I put up with a line of dead pixels on my Q2. 2 green and 2 red pixels forming a line. They were not in direct sight but annoying all the same.

Well so far this has been a nightmare. Airlink is jerky and laggy for me, the passthrough is still decidely grainy , did a friend referral and they havent got the £23 (support said it takes 5-7 business days, yet another referral I did today took about 3 minutes), decided to gift them Dungeons of Eternity instead, went to gift it, stuck in their details, only for it to say "you already own this game, try again"....duh...I know I own it, I want to gift it to them , you saying I cannot gift someone a game I already own??

PCVR first impressions (wired link)

1. Visually it is a big improvement on the Q2 in MSFS. You can see more sharpness at long distances, great for viewing the scenery.

2. H265 WORKS! @melmac

3. Asyncronous spacewarp now WORKS with no artifacting (in MSFS)! Smooth as butter on max render resolution, TAA anti aliasing and automatically running at half framerate (36 fps).

I possibly also have a stuck pixel. Not sure if it is, or a fleck of dust. I can only see it sometimes.

The default strap is becoming a little uncomfortable though, I will need to upgrade.

Why am I seen so many reports of dead pixels, is the situation this bad? If you buy the headset lets say from Argos can you return or exchange it with them should you have a dead pixel?

It's loads of dead pixel reports from the same guy. I believe he's posted on here once or twice.

Getting some funky hand tracking/guardian things here and there. Is this just a continuation of some Quest 2 problems? I’m coming from a CV1 so haven’t dealt with standalone.
