Quest 3 owners etc

Anyone using head strap like BoboVR M2 with 3D printed adapter.? I got 3D printer so I could buy that headstrap and print adapter myself if it works well.

just tried running PCVR game in 120hz and yep it's flickering as well so it is definitely 120hz refresh rate that is causing flicker on my headset.
Does that mean there is an issue with the headset or just with PCVR atm which could be fixed with a software update?

Brightness starts to flicker as soon as I switch to 120hz in VD without even being connected to pc so it's not just PCVR.
Are there any other apps that run at 120hz besides VD.? if so I could test those as well.

I'm waiting for the Bobo M3 Pro as well, looking forward to being able to keep one battery on charge while one is in use, then swapping them over and never running out of juice. Does anyone know if Bobo is likely to have three versions, a version with no extra battery, a version with one extra battery and a version with two extra batteries?

Meanwhile, the stock strap is ok, I'm not having much issue with it. It felt a bit uncomfortable last night when I was tired but today it's fine. I finally got a perfect score on the Beat Saber demo! Probably going to buy the full game today. I had to make more space in my room than I thought as beat saber forces you reach far and wide and I kept hitting my table or other things.

I had a go at First Encounters, it's absolutely brilliant! My nephew is gonna love it, I'll never get my headset back. :D

probably a silly question is there a way to get the quest 3 and controllers to fit on the quest pro charging dock? I realise the charging docks on the surface look very different

So I went ahead and ordered the BoboVR M2 Plus from rainforest for £30.59 which will be delivered tomorrow.
The adapters are already printing.
Hopefully it will work well.

Only makes sense to get the 512gb version but wow the price has jumped up considerably, I hardly use the quest 2 I have, I charge it up to use but then forget about it, I need a schedule

Does the design of those accommodate the fact the Q3 arms have a curve to them? I printed some yesterday but they don't really fit as they are totally flat. Found a design someone did to use the DAS (vive?) which looked a lot better, if no one else has done a Bobo M2 version by next weekend I will try and hack together the two designs.

Do you feel the meta elite battery pack is worth buying?

I’m tempted to order it but the poor quality and low comfort of the Quest 2 elite strap (non battery) is putting me off the idea?
Did you ever try the Quest 2 elite strap? If so how how does the Meta Quest 3 one compare to that?
As another data point, I have both Q2 and Q3 elite battery straps.

My first Q2 battery strap snapped just at the year mark, the replacement has lasted until today and still going strong, I presume they found an issue in the early batches which was sorted out.

In terms of Q2 vs Q3, they are pretty much identical and feel the same to me, you can see the design is a carry over, they've just changed the colour of the plastic around the battery to be all white which ironically makes the battery look bulkier, but it is approx the same dimensions.

I keep looking at the Bobo, but it's quite a bulky item, and puts people off a bit, and since our Quests get used by family/friends on occasion, I like the neat look of the Elite Battery strap.

It's greedy to charge £130 for the Q3 Elite Battery strap when on the Q2 you got the carry case with it!

And as many will know, if your Q2 strap broke, they would send a complete kit out, so I ended up with 2 carry cases, which I luckily kept and the Q3 fits in nicely, the only downside is the bulkier usb mains adapter doesn't fit in the small section at the front, but for free I'll live with that!

No these are flat as well so dont know if they will fit. I will be trying them once the strap is here.
If you come up with something better and are willing to share it then please quote my post.
