Yeah they are expensive but they feel very premium and they just work...i love the charging dock it's very well made.

Inspired by the thread picked up a quest 3 (already have a 2) that’s arriving today. I’m assuming I’ll need an FB account (set one up for the Q2). Do quest 2 games run “better” or is it a new library?
Do you feel the meta elite battery pack is worth buying?
I’m tempted to order it but the poor quality and low comfort of the Quest 2 elite strap (non battery) is putting me off the idea?

Automatic account transfer from Q2 TO Q3 is available on setup.
Time will tell but i'm pleased with mine..the battery life on the Q3 is not great..there is the BOBOVR option if you can find one in stock.
Did you ever try the Quest 2 elite strap? If so how how does the Meta Quest 3 one compare to that?

No i had a BOBO strap on my Q2...it did the job for about £30 no battery though.
Lets hope they make the new elite straps out of better material than the stuff they used for the Q2. I'd forgotten about the multitude of cracking straps.

Quest 2 Elite Strap Broken
I've had my Quest 2 and the Elite Strap for just under 2 months. I got the Elite Strap specifically from Currys/PC World online in the Quest 2 Elite Strap bundle and the Elite Strap had a crack on it within the first month, I thought it was nothing due to the size of the crack until just today...
The only way to di it is to turn your wifi off in the headset.
Far from ideal.

If you leave the headset in standby mode then it will download updates when you're not using it. It also tends to install the updates when you shut it down.

Yeah it was a brightness flicker was playing phasmophobia at the time. I read somewhere that if you disabled spacewarp it would stop the flicker and it did. Unless it was fluke. I don't know why it would stop the flicker though.

Unless the Q3 has changes, modded Beat Saber won't auto-update, I have rolled back to 1.28 and just getting a little warning every time I launch it that I ignore.Far from ideal.

For me it is only flickering when using desktop and not in games and now I know why.! it is 120hz that is causing brightness flicker for me and dropping it to 90hz eliminates it completely.
