also what is the passthrough like in the pico4 as the quest 3 sounds like it is really trying for a proper mixed reality headset, something the quest pro claimed it could do but couldnt really.

The Pico 4 still has the same processor as the quest 2 (XR2 Gen 1) the Quest 3 is XR2 Gen 2

Well the factory strap I tried is great. But I'm not looking to buy the Pico, I was just hoping the Meta Quest 3 will be as comfortable. I must say though, I really like the way the Pico strap tightens and loosens with the wheel, very easy and convenient and nice to use.

the stock strap vs stock strap yes the pico 4 is much better

you can buy different straps for the meta headsets to the same ones so all is not lost

Sorry Unseul, when I replied to you earlier I thought you meant buying a strap for the Pico, but of course you meant for the Quest3. I've just been checking out aftermarket strap reviews on youtube for the Quest2 and by far, the Kiwi Design seems to be the one everyone says is the most comfortable and balanced. Assuming Kiwi make one for the Quest3, I guess that's the one I'm going to get.

My current plan, when I eventually get a q3, and assuming it's a very similar material strap, is simply to swap over my current half home made contraption onto the new headset :D. The slimmer profile should help with a lot of the wobble regardless.

Did anyone play 'The Room VR: A Dark Matter' from Fireproof studios on their Quest2 and think it'll be on the Quest3? I played all three Room games from Fireproof on my phone from the Playstore and they're all utterly brilliant. I didn't realise till today that they made a fourth game specifically for VR. It would be amazing to walk around full size rooms solving those puzzles.

I didn't, but the vr versions will work on quest 3 as all games are backwards compatible

It and A Fisherman's Tale are the 2 best escape-room VR experiences imo.

Awesome, I haven't heard of A Fisherman's Tale, I'll check it out. By the way, I'm used to playing games, especially puzzle games while sitting down. With a VR puzzle solving game, I presume I won't need to be standing since I'm not playing a fast twitch action game and can move forward just with the controllers whilst staying seated or even lying back on my bed? That would be the most relaxing way for me to play.

I played both sitting on the couch, using the teleport aspect, but you still need some space in front of you, so lying in bed probs wouldn't work.
