As others have suggested there’s a myriad of decent looking Quest 2 head straps for ~£30. So no sense in paying £70 for the official strap especially when the quality of previous versions of it haven’t been particularly great.

For that kind of money you can buy noticeably more substantial looking halo-style battery headsets.

I called the place that rhymes with mary berry and they said they'd received the money a few days ago. I then called PayPal today to ask if my money has definitely been taken from my bank account because it says payment made on the PayPal page but my Barclays app shows no transaction at all. PayPal told me they'd paid the money to the mary berry shop and that my bank is still processing the transaction before they pay PayPal. Very odd, I've made loads of PayPal payments so don't know why my bank is taking so long to process and not forwarded my money yet.

Edit: all gone through now.

It's obvious Q3 is a clear upgrade over Q2. Upgrading is a no brainer. Doesn't need a video to tell you that!

Does anyone know whether the material facial interfaces will be an option to come with the headset as default? at the moment I can only see it as an optional extra. Can't cope with the silicone interfaces

It will come with the default one, if you want to change it, it's an optional extra

just had the phone call from the place that is a variation on vary, checking that it was really me ordering. Anyhow all good to go, order confirmation arrived immediately afterwards with discount included and BNPL option activated.

Not sure if people are aware, i seen the Q3 mentioned earlier as being able to do 90 and 120Hz, it can do more than that apparently which suits me as i often use the 72Hz mode in demanding games https://twitter.com/Heaney555/status/1708418966375264448 "It can do 72, 80, 90, and 120. Confirmed with Meta"

I would have been very surprised if it couldn't do lower refresh rates.

I like the sound of 80hz. My 4090 couldn't quite manage a stable 90, but think 80 should be doable.

I use 80hz on my Pro (which can't go higher than 90) and it really is a nice sweet spot in terms of performance and quality.
