Questions - Diesel engine and transmission / gearbox reliability circa 2014-2019 -BMW - Mercedes - Audi ( on small hatchback or coupe models)

Insurance would be around £53 a month on a compare the market search and that's with Hastings direct youdrive. So around £10 -13 increase on what I'm paying. I would also need to get out of my current insurance £56 fee they said (which is live till Oct )

hastings is a broker (unlike aviva) so can't continue with same underwriter ?
but, £50p/m insurance isn't cheap - is S.Wales high risk (not newport?) or, that BMW very prone to relay theft.
