queue at hollister shop today...

My girl hates them. And if anyone hates their stuff more than me, it's her.

I'd post up pictures to prove she could pull them off, but she's 16 (I'm 15) so it might cause a few problems...

Then again, she is a hugely spoilt schoolgirl who routinely dresses in Gucci, Armani, Prada etc. and obsesses over fashion... :D

You know, we can all look you (and her) up on Facebook? :P

I love GD...

My profile's pretty much private, I'm fairly sure hers is too. All her accounts link back to each other though, so any photo I post I'm sure will have you guys tracing the image back to one of her accounts then back to her facebook.

So you guys lost out on perving on a 16 year old girl... Sucks to be you, I guess ;)

That said, you've probably all gone and done it now anyway... :D

Yeah I was in the Trafford Center yesterday and the line was massive.

Queuing for a shop? Are these people serious?! They do know about Online Shopping right?! Unbelieveable :p

Buying clothes online can be a pain as I never know what size I need due to each brand doing their own thing

I need M or L TShirts depending on brands
L or XL Shirts (unless they bother to actually give the chest size, in which case I need 44)
XL Coats

The only thing I know for certain what I need are trousers and shoes, as they all come in proper sizes always
Then again even with trousers, some brands I probably need a 32 while others I need a 34

All the clothes stores I buy online from allow you to buy it, try it and then send it back if it doesn't fit/don't like it.

That takes effort of buying something you want/need ... finding it's not correct, sending it back, getting a replacement

I might as well just go to a store and buy the item I need

I only buy online when I know the exact size, of when it is cheap enough that I wont mind buying a bit larger as it will fit me just fine and is good value for the money

Then I don't envy you :p
Fortunatly, Small is usually good enough for me :p

Doesn't work like that with Abercrombie & Hollister though...

They ship all their UK online orders from the US, so even the cheapest item costs £20 to ship, going up an extra £5 per £100. Just not worth buying online from them which is why everyone goes to the stores.

Abercrombie is suppose to be East coast type fashion and Hollister being the west coast surfer fashion. A&F is suppose to be higher end in terms of quality and price.

Someone told me once all of them are the same company and it's in this order in terms of perceived quality pricing.

Abercrombie
Banana Republic (not sure about this one)
Hollister
Gap
Old Navy

I would say pricing wise Hollister and Gap are probably the same but Hollister is the newer more fashionable one.

When I bought my first Hollister shirt years ago in America, I did think it was very cheap for the kind of fashion the shop's image was passing off.

Dont want to sound like some kind of fashion snob, but back then you didint see many people wear it and they didnt make the tops with the branding which covers the the whole back or front of the shirt.

I can understand queuing for actual garments that are bespoke, hand made, from a well respected fashion company etc, but not from complete **** like Hollister. Why anyone would queue for this brand makes me wonder.
