quick question ? !

just checked it you can set frequency but you cant set the ratio in it i can chose from 667, 800 , 889 , 1067 . it is set on auto at moment.

still confused were is that ratio thingy

Is your CPU still at 266mhz? The P5K doesn't offer a 533mhz (1:1) memory option at 266mhz. You won't get a 1:1 option (586mhz) option til you overclock it to 293MHz.

Set it to 667mhz until you get to 293MHz.

kk i do that then i get back to you thank you ;)

edit: its at 266 at moment i start tweaking it up tomorrow get back to you then

Set your correct memory voltage before going any further. I wouldn't touch its timings til you've finished clocking the CPU.

Then just keep upping the FSB. You'll probably get to 333x9 before having to touch the CPU voltage.

doing it now stand by for conformation ;)

running now on 320 x 9 tried to go up 333 but at 330 windows did not boot and window popped up said overcloking failed i was guessing that cpu need more voltage.

few more thing i noticed in tat that first core is much hotter then other
and cpu-z, with ai suite jumps around. heres the picture

edit : im using b3

You have Speedstep enable, and it drops the multiplier to x6 to save power. The lowered multiplier confuses some software. CPU-Z will always read the correct current speed.

Do you still get the same temp difference under load?

And I would just up the vcore to get more FSB.

kk how to switch the speedstep of? and ye ran ortos now still approx 5 c difference maybe there is lack of thermal paste between core 1 and waterblock but i added arctic silver 5 as it shows in a guide a line...

by how much should i increase core voltage ?

Some of the chips aren't quite flat and this results in the temp difference (I had an 11c difference with mine).

C1E Support and Intel Speedstep Tech are the options to disable if you wish to disable Speedstep.

And I would increase the vcore by 0.025v at a time.

mh cant find were to download that speedstep can you be more specific plz

+ i lapped my cpu to 1500 grid and waterblock to...
