Found this very poignant.

pyro had an unmistakable posting style, awesome (lack of) eyebrows, and some dodgy piercings. Seemed such an all around top chap.

Absoloutely gutted about this. I remember randomly bumping into him at the SU bar in Bradford while he was working there. He was awesome :(
 
The forces can really muck you up, and from what has been said so far it sounds a much worse environment than the UK forces.

Wow a real shock this, didn't know him too well, but like others have said he made some great posts, and seemed a decent guy. Really sorry to hear the news, my thoughts are with his family and friends.

I met Pyro once when four of us went out for a beer and then bowling afterwards when I was working in Leeds, he was a really nice guy.

One of my memories of him was the way he collected hundreds of little packets of sauce around him as we ate our bacon and cheese burgers, no **** and only opened perhaps one or two of them! It was a good evening and he was a great bloke.

Such a shame, such a waste.
 
Never knew him but I've read quite a few of his posts and he seemed nuts (in a good way).

As everyone else has said, such a shame.
 
I thought that this was going to say that he was leaving the forum - but not in this way. What a shock this must have been to his family. I can't begin to imagine what they must be going through right now. He must have been in a very dark place to take his own life.

Rest in peace.
