Hi Humbug, it is not overclocked. I think when gpu tweak is set to powersave it does underclock the card. Max temp is 82.

If you are having problems keep well away from GPU Tweak as it can be quite buggy.

Once you know what's what then go back to GPU Tweak.

most likely it's faulty..

i'm had 2 asus 290x which both was faulty.

Been doing some testing, in Gpu Tweak profiles if I set it to power save which just seems to drop the gpu clock from 1050 to 1000 I get no blackscreens.

it's because there are multiple board designs being manufactured. This new board, the R29FA, is a reference board that is slightly different from the original design. The new board design can be found on Power Color, Club3D and VTX3D cards.

that means it's not stable at stock then.

i'm not sure what to do with it until i game with it, i might remove the cooler and replace the Thermal Paste....... i've downloaded Matt's stuff and it looks ok to tweek

but right now i'm moving everything back into my new rig so that'll be another 3 days until i can get it working again
