Scores below at stock 1000/1250, not going to push it too much now until I get my waterblock for it.

How do these look, I've not used these before so dont have any point of reference as to how it compares.

3DMark11

Firestrike (and others)

You have to compare the graphics scores but to answer your question, for a stock card the 3dmark11 score is huge and the 3dmark firestrike score is also very impressive.

Kaap where are your benches?

You were the guy. Over 11k on a stock clocks? Not bad.

I will give it a go tomorrow when testing the cards but I won't be going flat out until I have them on water.

Watch out for the Extreme Preset in 3dmark11, I have the feeling that it is going to take quite a pounding, but that is going to have to wait for couple weeks until I can get all four up and running together.:D

Proud of you Kaapi boi. I knew you wouldn't let me down. After all the crap written about the card, tell me how it is. What do you think? Good card, bad card? Put aside the heat/cooler crap. People buying a reference AMD card should know what to expect.

Good card for £400 vs a £800 titan, or not??

I assume AIB cards will make things much better.

Money no object the Titan's are a bit better but not £400 better. As to performance it is a case of horses for courses, one is better at some things the other is better at other things.

As to the cooler noise, in normal use they are not that loud. If you turn the fans up to 100% it sounds like your mum doing the hovering while you are trying to watch TV.

As far as temps go, the cards don't get that hot when benching with the fans turned up. In normal use they will run hotter to keep the noise to a minimum.

All in all they are nice cards with a solid feel to them.

What does a stock Titan fan sound like at 100%?

4 overclocked Titans @100% don't even get close to a single R9 290X @100%

Having said that I don't think the 290X is that noisy in normal use. If you are going to overclock the nuts off of them you are going to fit a waterblock anyway.

To put things in prospective my Asus Matrix Platinum 7970s when running with their fans @100% make quite a noise, right up there with the 290X but I don't see a lot of negative comments about the Matrix Platinums.
