what level are each playing the SP game on? im on serious after restarting the game, i had done the first euro tier in normal then restarted to do the lot in serious, ive done the first euro tier and half the first japan tier.
 
Is anyone running this using Windows XP64? I can't get it to boot in normal or safe mode. It installed fine, I have just put the new GFX drivers on however it still won't boot. When you start the game it shows on the system processes for a few seconds then disappears, that's all it does.

Just tried adding "–novirtual" to the target and it made no different.

Playing in savage mode.
Extreme is too hard because i usually need more than 1 rewind as I don't know all the tracks and some corners can take u by suprise.
I've unlocked the top USA and Japan tiers, finding Europe to be the least entertaining right now.
Just fired my first team mate, Richard Batty. Used him all the way so far but he was getting a little out of his depth although he was very good for the price. Kinda miss the way he used to call me "mate" all the time over voice chat... got some expensive fin now and he's really no company, although he's a god at GT1.
 
The good thing with this game is there's no qualifying online so the wheel users cant be 1 minute ahead of everyone else which would make the game boring and pointless for non wheel users.

I honnestly dont think using a wheel gives you much of an advantage over a pad. The arcady play levels the field a bit. Go online and play on server that is racing over 5 laps with catchup on and the race will be dam close then entire time. Great fun!

I personally wouldnt consider buying a game only to use a cheat/code to unlock everything, thats how you end up with numpties racing online in top cars and driving like tools.
 
Can someone give me some tips on how to drift? I'm doing ok with this game but i really can not get the hang of drifting! I'm using a PS2 pad.
 
What are people using in the way of driving aids, I havent touched them yet but find the game a tad too arcadey.
 
I have a file that lets you unlock everything, stick it in the install directory, it will open the game, go the to bonus code screen press F12 and it overlays all the codes at the top left of the screen, does the ebay skins etc, all cars in specific classes no damage.
Dunno if its the sort of thing im allowed to post, if i can, i will post the link to anyone that wants it.
 
Gutted, got the game on saturday, didnt play it as I didnt wanna spoil it until I got myself a nice wheel. Get back today after buying the 360 wireless wheel and the damn thing don't work yet :(

Gotta wait till patch to enable it.

So the question is do I play it with my 360 controller or wait till I can play it with my wheel.
