Race report: 'UK not deliberately rigged against ethnic minorities'

We can remove poverty as an excuse.

We just had 8 years of Obama prior to trump. So we can remove the 'no role models' excuse.

The majority of the top paid sports stars in the NBA, NFL etc are non white.

A large number of the top paid musicians are also non white.

So we can remove earning potential and aspiration as excuses.

Why do you bother with race threads when you seemingly have no desire to try to understand the issues being discussed?
 
I don't see how the UK can be racist when it let's in every colour and creed of people, hell it's even put in diversity drives to bump up opportunities.

It’s not. It’s just the minorities pushing ever harder and persistently to try and swing society even more in their favour.

That article is basically an opinion piece, granted it's opinions from an actual study, but it doesn't answer the question of how you measure how much focus a culture puts on education. I'd also question just how limited a families resources are if they are able to move into a neighbourhood with good schools (or move at all) and afford a tutor for their kids.

Well it is kind of an open question. The differences are clearly there, even when accounting for income. So if not culture then do you believe that there is a biological element here? That Asian American on average are naturally smarter (at least in particular areas that lead to high scores on standardised tests, good marks in school etc...) and African Americans are on average naturally less smart etc...(at least in the areas that affect those measurements)?

Or perhaps some combination of both?

I mean if culture had no effect and we’re controlling for income level then what do you suppose contributes to the gap?

Abd yes Asian American is a broad category but that isn’t a big issue here, these things hold true on average, though you might well find some subgroup that underperforms.

Likewise Nigerian Americans are among the top performing groups, that would suggest there is surely in part a cultural difference between Nigerian American immigrants vs African Americans? I mean you could perhaps suggest a biological one there too I guess, that immigrants from Nigeria to America represent wealthy middle class professionals, perhaps the US is getting their genetic winners? Perhaps good genes and culture are both at play there?

I agree.

It’s becoming clear that multiculturalism isn’t one big happy melting pot, it’s different ethnic groups jostling for power and resources from the shared pot to “their people”. Victimhood is the favoured vector for minorities to accomplish it.

Yep and for some reason we are expected to adapt to accomodate them. Where as if you visit most other countries in the world, you are expected to respect their culture and complain about it at your peril (literally in some places) :/

Britain should be Britain. If you don't like it find somewhere else.
 
Relatively the UK is one of the least racist countries in the world, no country is perfect of course, but we're a highly liberal, tolerant and welcoming society.

Do you not even read your own links? How can anyone read that well written statement following recent comments since the report's release and come out with the comment you just have. As said before, you had already made your mind up on the report before you even read it, if you even bothered to? and you hate the fact it goes against everything you believe so you will post any link you can to try and undermine it.

I would not dream of going to live somewhere else say China or Japan and do nothing but complain everyday how rubbish their countries are im sure they would turn round and say why don't you sling your hook and they would be quite right too.

Well they wouldn't let you become a citizen anyway.

According to your Wikipedia article on Japan. Anyone with Japanese citizenship is counted as Japanese regardless of background or how they acquired their citizenship.

I think China does support your point though I think they won't let you become a citizen

At this point, it's clear that no matter how much we bend over backwards they're never happy and want more. In the last year we now have certain voices talking about repatriations, which ****** me off no end.

It would probably help us to understand if you answered the question tho, rather than berating people for not understanding (as you do).

I think that's generally how these things work? If you want to persuade somebody, that is.
