Racism

That's all the info that is needed until they ask you to describe them.

But we all know theyre going to ask for more info... They wouldnt be doing their job correctly if they didnt lol!

So why not give up all the info one has?!

Right, so what's the question here? All I did was answer the first post but along the line it's been confused.

lol

I predicted that everyone would have their own views on what they'd class as racist.... And that these views would even conflict with one another.

Sad fact is that racism isnt going anywhere... Its around for good. People will judge others for various reasons (skin colour being one of them). People need to deal with it

Someone needs to write a book that says the do's and don'ts of describing people. I tried describing someones skin as "black" but apparently he didn't like it and he preferred "brown", so I was like oh okay that specific dark skin tone must be "brown", so I referred to someone else's skin as "brown" and he got really offended and said he was "black".

I don't know what to think any more.

This is a perfect example, which needs to be resolved. I doubt it will be solved to be fair.

As a black person I cant say I'm too fond of the N word either. I struggle to understand why its still used. Cant complain though as we all have the right to say what we want.

oh.... the N word in Africa I was told by an African that it means 'friend'. But, because of history it is used as an old definition word for 'slave'.

It's history that made it this way.

Racism was invented by Hippies and Benders who are really bent but think they are straight so play the old 'we have emotions card' with things like Racism to try and get ladies interested.. when in reality they look like a shovel has been wrapped around their face 40 times and any bird interested in that is probably being served up around the country on Christmas day. Then end up wearing their mums stockings in some grubby public loo waiting for Leroy77 to turn up after chatting to them on the net.

At the end of the day its a fact of life, either do it or button it imo.

i remember in college our assesor was picking people at random for something, cant remember and so he went on to say einee minee mo catch a n****r by the toe, we had a afro carribean bloke in the class he found it funny and everyone was laughing.

i work with loads of ethinic groups and i always racial abuse them but they do the same back to us english its just a bit of banter and we know the boundries.

so i think its down to the person being racialy abused to judge wether its offending them.

At the end of the day you dont call a Cat a Dog, do you?

Black is black, white is white.

Some people are born retards, some genuis, some poor, some rich... so what, get on with it, stop moaning and be grateful with the hand you have been dealt... calling a black person a spade or something.. no harm in it, if we all had a laugh then the world would be a better place and there wouldnt be as much black crime as there is today.

Haha oops. Well my point still stands, for white people at least.

No, it doesn't.

Firstly, I've lived in places where the anti-"white" racism painted in large letters as graffiti on external walls made was very clear indeed, as were the racist insults, threats and suchlike. The contemptuous dismissal wasn't as obvious, but after the first few dozen times the message definitely gets across.

Secondly, skin colour is not an ability to understand anything.

At the end of the day you dont call a Cat a Dog, do you?

Black is black, white is white.

And neither are reasonable ways to describe anyone.

Many people would call me white. You'd call that reasonable. I'd call it at best silly and wrong. I am not my skin colour and my skin colour isn't white anyway. To describe my skin colour as white is wrong. To describe me as white is doubly wrong, at best silly and at worst bigoted. To divide humanity in two on the basis of using inaccurate (often wildly inaccurate) descriptions of skin colour as if they defined a person is, to be blunt, irrational to the point of insanity.
