Radeon RX 480 "Polaris" Launched at $199

Well i hope if there is a 490 then they announce it at E3

If they do release a 490 that is close to or rivals the 1070 for under £300 they will have a winner on their hands.

Who knows.

But if truly the card gets ~3300 @ 1Ghz and normal cards will run at 1250, that will raise it to ~4125. That is almost the GTX1070 performance. For half the money!!!!!!

With all this hype over the leaks I'm hoping they release some real benchmarks and announce a 490 sometime soon.

I'd love to cancel/return my 1070. Literally waiting for you, AMD

wwccf can't add up, we all know that.

The score they quoted there was 18060 Graphics score.

These are the two fastest 290X's from Kaaps 3DMark11 thread

GPU 290X @1270/1500, GFX Score 18923,
GPU 290X @1250/1625, GFX Score 18119

Now clearly if a Hawaii XT needs 1250Mhz to match that RX 480 score then the cut down Hawaii has no chance at all let alone at stock.

My 390@1100 does 18600 GS in 3DMark11

yes it is because looking at dx12 isnt really blooming like the sellers are telling you to buy for it.

hardly any games are using it or even announced.well not big titles.its looking a bit like a unicorn at the moment.

we will see today with big games at the start of E3 also over next few days. if they not announcing any big shift change you will have your answer how useful dx12 is going to be.

Huh? Just wait 'til E3 and you'll see that all new titles will be using DX12. Of course DX12 isn't big at the moment, as it hasn't been out that long and game-development takes years. We already have: Hitman, AotS, Warhammer, tomb Raider, Gears of War, Quantum Break, etc. and at E3 we'll probably see even more upcoming titles that are built for DX12, in addition to these: Mirror's Edge, BF1, Deus Ex, ArmA 3 Tanoa, Ghost Recon Wildlands, Watch Dogs 2, etc.
