what i am saying is that the card was not clocked at 1266mhz to get that score, it was an 8GB card on a newer bios clocked at 1080mhz.

sprite added all 3 clocks, 1080, 1266 and 1400. a good job of it IMO.

Mmm i sure i saw a post on the chinese forum when he posted the video that it was clocked to 1266mhz - Could be wrong

Actually coming to thing of it he's right, the ChipHell one was also 1080Mhz, they just got a slightly higher score with it.

was sure i read the info as 1080, shall double check. the jump in performance looks odd if it is 1266mhz, it seems more like it would be 1080mhz and the extra ram is helping with performance due to having fewer memory contraints in firestrike ultra.

It's ok humbug confirmed, amended pic. Also you're correct, wouldn't make sense to be 1266mhz with figures.

As before.. All speculation.. Stock clock results from Tweaktown reviews for other cards.

it's all good, i rechecked and he was talking about the possibly running temperatures at certain clocks, how it runs between 40-50 at 1080mhz using the original cooler and how it can run up to 70 when clocked at 1266mhz.

Talking about coolers, i need to redo the thermal-paste on my Sapphire 7870, lol.

It does all ring a bit to good to be true at the moment...

A $230 card overclocked being slightly behind a 1070 at stock, which is a $449 card.

Could be around R9 390X level as we suspected,but if AMD does manage to get some more performance out,it will make things very interesting especially if they actually have plenty of stock.

Only two weeks or so to go!!

I'm having trouble believing (or understanding why) AMD have a 480 almost as fast as a 1070, and then have a 490 waiting and not say anything about it.

#### knows but it looks like AMD are going back to conservative clocks like the 7850 and 7950 (860Mhz OC to 1200Mhz)
Presumably for low power.
